I was proud to welcome San Jacinto High School sophomore Cassandra De La Rosa and her family to the U.S. Capitol!
Her piece, “Are You Lost in The Motion?”, now hangs in the halls of Congress as part of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. What a powerful display of talent and creativity!

This is America. We believe in democracy, not kings.
Thank you to everyone who showed up to the No Kings rally. Keep raising your voices, keep showing up across our communities, and always support each other.
#NoKings
It’s going to take all of us to:
- Speak Up
- Speak Out
- And Fight Back
#RuleOfLaw
We showed up to House Leadership. Speaker Mike Johnson is too scared to face us.
Our communities deserve answers, not silence. I’m not backing down. I’ll keep showing up and saying HELL NO to these attacks.
LIVE: Right now, I led a march to Leader John Thune’s office — he’s refusing to meet with the House Democrats, who are demanding answers on what he’s doing to protect @padilla.senate.gov.
Trump is a cancer. Enough is enough.
Democrats are demanding answers, but the authoritarian Trump administration responds by arresting a United States Senator and continuing to leave Americans in the dark.
I won’t back down. I stand with @padilla.senate.gov.
I’m outraged by the militarization of ICE & deployment of Nat’l Guard & Marines to LA.
I’m demanding their immediate withdrawal & the demilitarization of ICE & neighborhoods.
I’ll never support stripping immigrants of their due process rights or turning our neighborhoods into militarized zones.
The events occurring across Southern California over the last few days have made me deeply concerned about the future of American democracy...
Swipe to read my full statement.
Earlier today, David Huerta, President of SEIU-USWW, was tased, injured, and detained by ICE while being a community observer in LA.The Trump Administration continues to use force to silence labor leaders and intimidate workers. This is unacceptable and their voices will not be silenced.

House Republicans are coming for veterans AGAIN.
They want to slash the PACT Act’s Toxic Exposure Fund, a lifeline for vets exposed to burn pits and toxic substances. That means delayed care, denied benefits, and lives at risk.

Today I joined leaders at BenchmarkMin Giga + USA to highlight the incredible opportunity of #LithiumValley in #ImperialCounty.
We have a chance to create good-paying local jobs, all while protecting our environment through sustainable extraction of lithium from geothermal brine.
Met with hospitals in #CA25 about the devastating impact looming Medi-Cal cuts could have on our communities.
This isn’t just a Medi-Cal issue. If hospitals shut down, everyone loses access to care. I’m fighting to protect our hospitals and the health of our communities.
Palo Verde Hospital, the only acute-care facility within 100 miles of #BlytheCA, is facing closure.
As a doctor, I know what’s at stake when care is out of reach. I sent a letter to @governor.ca.gov urging immediate action to keep the hospital open.
As part of legislation I authored and passed, we officially dedicated the La Quinta Post Office in his name. A plaque now stands in his honor, a permanent reminder of his deep love for our country.
May we never forget Cpl. Lopez & all the brave servicemembers who gave their lives for our freedoms.
Yesterday, we gathered in #LaQuintaCA to honor the life and legacy of Corporal Hunter Lopez, a beloved son of our community who gave his life in service to our Nation during the Kabul airport attack on August 26, 2021.
I met with #ImperialValley growers to learn about how the closure of Speckles Sugar in Brawley is affecting the economy. I will work to help find solutions that put the needs of our communities first.
I continue to advocate for the farmers of #CA25 to ensure that our region continues to succeed.
