This week, Republicans marked up a bill to take health care and food assistance away from millions of Americans in order to pay for tax breaks for Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.
The Democratic Doctors Caucus will stop at nothing to prevent these reckless cuts and stand up for our communities.

26 hours and 30 minutes later, the marathon meeting is over. Sadly, the Republican majority passed their bill with no Democratic support because it strips health care from 13.7 million people.
We’ve officially passed the 24-hour mark in this marathon debate over threats to Medicaid.
It’s simple: this bill will raise health care costs for millions of Americans. We’re fighting hard ‘till the very end.

Republicans are claiming that this reconciliation bill will cut waste, fraud, and abuse. @repjeffries and I are calling bullsh*t.
Victoria Lara is just one example of the millions of people who will be harmed by these atrocious Medicaid cuts. If House Republicans cared about their constituents and not their billionaire buddies, they would have already scrapped this dumpster fire of a bill.
