I met w/ #CalexicoCA leadership to discuss initiatives for Calexico transportation & infrastructure. We discussed the need for improvements at the Calexico Int'l Airport & Travel Corridor. Updating the DeAnza Bridge and expanding runways at the airport will attract new businesses to the region.

Instead of the partisan Republican funding bill, House Democrats and I are committed to a four-week clean funding extension that prevents harmful cuts, keeps the government running, and paves the way for a bipartisan funding deal.
I’m ready to vote whenever needed to get it done.
Stopped by #WestmorlandCA Date Shakes to grab some locally grown Medjool Dates! So grateful to have delicious quality products right here in our communities.
I just voted no on the extreme Republican funding bill. It’s bad for veterans, seniors, children, people with disabilities, and families. Most troubling of all, this bill does nothing to protect Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
Here’s my breakdown: straight from the 99-page bill itself. ⬇️
I am committed to providing you w/ the best constituent services, & my team is hitting the road to bring our services to you!

Today, the Dow Jones fell by 900 points, and the Nasdaq had its worst day since 2022 as fears of a potential recession grow. The stock market has taken a turn for the worse since Trump got elected.

As a dad, there’s nothing quite like the moment your little ones enter the world. Watching Jackie & Shadow’s eaglets hatch reminds me of the love & responsibility that comes w/ fatherhood.
Much respect to bald eagle mama Jackie, my own nest’s eagle mama Monica, and all the eagle moms out there!
Trump and House Republicans must hear loud & clear about the consequences of cutting Medicaid for hardworking Americans.
That’s why I told the stories of how Medicaid cuts will hurt my constituents like John from Bermuda Dunes, all to hand out billions of dollars in tax breaks to billionaires.
Here, I’ll start!
✅ Let’s streamline applications for all need based services.
✅ End redundancies in small businesses permitting processes.
✅ Reduce unnecessary same-day duplicate expensive medical imaging and tests like MRI’s.

So, let’s debate what is considered waste, efficiency, and abuse transparently, openly in the people’s House.
I agree with this judge’s ruling and interpretation of the constitution.
Finding government efficiencies and going after fraud and waste is a good thing and so is protecting and following the constitution. There is a legal, constitutional way of doing it: through Congress.
This is unacceptable. I stand with the brave men and women who served our nation and will keep fighting to stop these firings.

One last thing before my flight: Secretary Doug Collin’s decision to fire 80,000 VA employees will have devastating consequences.
- Veterans' burn pits & disability claims will take longer to process.
- The claims & appeals backlog will grow.
- Health center appointments will be harder to get.
Veterans need their benefits applications processed promptly, their questions answered, their health screenings, and their health services. These massive layoffs will delay their services.

The U.S. Department of #VeteranAffairs plans to fire more than 80,000 employees, 20,000 of whom are veterans.
This keeps getting worse and worse. Secretary Doug Collins, you owe the veterans I serve an explanation on how their health and benefits will be better after gutting the VA.
Lies, lies, & more lies. Here’s the truth: Trump’s policies are making your life more expensive with rising inflation and cuts to programs like Medicaid, all to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
In his nearly 2 hour speech, Trump spent less than 2 mins on lowering your costs. He just doesn’t care.
Hey Bobby, how many times must we debunk the vaccine-autism myth? It’s not only wrong, but it’s hurtful to all the individuals with autism and their family members who are looking for real answers.
Trump and his cabinet of cronies don’t care. #JointAddress
Trump “respects” law enforcement officers so much that he pardoned 1500+ people charged w/ assaulting Capitol police officers on the first day of his second term. Some of them attacked police officers again.
Actions > louder than words. He just doesn’t care. #JointAddress
Trump wants to get rid of the #CHIPSAct? All this will do is guarantee America loses its technological advantage and long-term competitiveness in AI.
America First? This is Trump again putting China First. He just doesn’t care. #JointAddress
Trump and Extreme House Republicans passed a budget framework that will dramatically increase the federal deficit and debt, all while giving billions in tax giveaways to billionaires at the expense of Medicaid.
He just doesn’t care. #JointAddress
