I'm with @momsrising.org fighting back against the harmful Republican plans to cut to health care, child care, and Social Security. We won't stop working to give our children everything they need to become happy, strong, and prosperous members of society.
Trump’s supposed trade deal with the UK isn’t a triumph of strategy—it’s a product of chaos Who knows if he’ll actually stick with the “deal” or what he’ll say next He’s constantly giving everyone whiplash His cabinet's already lowering expectations It's the Trump credo: government by chaos
It is equal parts exciting and wonderful that Cardinal Robert Prevost, an American, has been chosen to be the next Pope. I extend well wishes to our fellow Catholic Americans and Catholics worldwide as they welcome the papacy of Leo XIV.
A headline from the AP reads: “Robert Prevost of the United States is named Pope Leo XIV”
Telling Americans that you want to axe their health care so that extremely rich people can pay less in taxes is a horrible message. But Republicans are working overtime to get it done. That is the definition of cruelty.
No matter which scheme for Medicaid cuts Republicans choose, it will result in millions being kicked off their health insurance. There's no way for Republicans to accomplish their goal of massive tax giveaways for the wealthy without devastating millions of Americans.
An image shows a post from Jake Sherman that reads: "BREAKING -- A new CBO analysis shows that several policies Republicans are considering for slashing Medicaid spending would lead to millions of people losing health insurance coverage. The analysis, requested by Democrats, says that per capita caps for the Medicaid expansion population would save $225 billion in federal spending and result in 1.5 million more uninsured people by 2034. Blocking provider taxes could save $668 billion and lead 3.9 million to lose coverage, per CBO. Read CBO's letter to Democrats here: http://pbwl.news/yhw"
Trump’s tariffs are a painful tax eating away at Americans' hard-earned money Americans deserve to know who's picking their pockets My bill with Rep. Raskin will make clear that Trump's promise to lower costs on day 1 was fiction—all for a tariff policy that's sending our economy into a tailspin
Donald Trump is taxing the American people with his tariffs, and they have a right to know exactly how much. I'm introducing legislation with @raskin.house.gov to require retailers to show consumers precisely how much the tariffs are increasing the prices of their products.
This report makes clear the disturbing trend I have been warning about—the rise of antisemitism in America.  Social media has become a breeding ground for antisemitism. We must not allow this to grow unabated. It’s everyone’s responsibility to fight back against antisemitism.
A headline from the ADL reads: “Nearly Five-Fold Increase in Antisemitic Harassment on Facebook Directed at Jewish Members of Congress, New ADL Research Finds”
The Knicks wiping out 20-point deficits twice and Bridges with second monster defensive play on the last shot! As Yogi said: It's Deja vu all over again!  Go New York! Go New York! GO!!!!
Good. The Trump chaos caused all kinds of problems with the FAA and at Newark Airport that increased delays and safety issues. That should never have been allowed to happen. I’ve been fighting for this—it is time for them to clean up this mess.
A headline from The Hill reads: “FAA says it’s taking ‘immediate steps’ to improve Newark Airport operations”
The flash firings and chaos at the 9/11 World Trade Center Health Program should have never happened. Trump and RFK Jr. put key staff and sick 9/11 first responders through a lot of pain with these gratuitous firings. Once we raised hell, they had no choice but to start fixing this mess.
A headline from the New York Daily News reads: "9/11 health workers rehired after outcry forced Trump to reverse cuts"
There is no end to the cruelty of the Republican plan. They want to rip away healthcare from millions of Americans—millions—to pay for their billionaire tax cut. Democrats will fight tooth and nail to expose this devastating plan and protect Medicaid.
A post from Jake Sherman reads:

🚨🚨BREAKING -- A new CBO analysis shows that several policies Republicans are considering for slashing Medicaid spending would lead to millions of people losing health insurance coverage.

The Senate Republicans just forced through Frank Bisignano, Mr. Slash-and-Burn himself, as the head of Trump’s Social Security Administration. They own the dismantling of Social Security. They are Trump’s enablers, his collaborators, his co-conspirators.
The closer you look at the problems the Trump chaos has caused with the FAA and at Newark Airport, the more alarming the story gets. The Trump administration is putting air travelers’ safety at risk. It’s unacceptable.
Dominick from New York Allison from North Carolina Andrea from Pennsylvania Beth from Minnesota TJ from Wisconsin Amy from Texas Small business owners like them are facing the wreckage of Trump’s tariff tax and his reckless economic agenda. Hear what they have to say:
Senate Republicans just pushed through Mr. Slash-and-Burn Frank Bisignano to be Trump’s head of Social Security. Every single Senate Democrat voted no. Make no mistake: Senate Republicans own the cuts and chaos at Social Security.
Trump’s budget shows how much he’s a conman who does not care about the struggles of everyday Americans. He'd rather listen to his billionaire buddies than to the American people in terms of what the country needs.
Trump’s FAA has failed to show they’re up to the task of keeping people safe. On April 28, air traffic controllers overseeing Newark lost all communications with planes in the air for up to 90 seconds risking lives. We need the Inspector General at the FAA to conduct a full investigation.
