I’m praying for the legendary Roberta Flack, her family, and everyone who knew and loved her.
She set new standards for R&B, jazz, pop, and soul.
She reshaped the music world.
And she fought so hard for the causes that were close to her heart.

Hello Bluesky!
I'm joining this platform because now more than ever, the American people need to be informed about what's going on. Chaos is up, corruption is up, and costs are up — and I spoke on The View about how Democrats are standing up for the American people.
Trump and House Republicans are trying to SLASH MEDICAID.
HURTING kids, seniors, veterans, working people.
And all to pay for tax giveaways for their BILLIONAIRES’ CLUB.
Democrats are fighting it tooth and nail.

DOGE set off a panic in Buffalo when it listed its National Labor Relations Board office on the chopping block.
Buffalo is a hard-working, union town.
I’m standing arm-in-arm with labor unions and workers to get answers and fight to keep this office open for Upstate workers and their rights.
With Donald Trump and DOGE slashing air safety personnel, this just keeps happening and happening and happening.
It’s unacceptable. It’s horrifying. It’s putting Americans in danger.
We have to fight for Americans’ safety in the air.
Our 9/11 heroes did not sign up for DOGE to try to cut the 9/11 Survivor Health Program.
And it was all for DOGE to give tax breaks to the Republicans billionaires’ club.
I was proud to fight to make President Trump and DOGE reverse themselves. We won for our 9/11 heroes.
With Donald Trump’s Republican Party:
The billionaires’ club wins.
American families lose.
Democrats are fighting for families.
They didn’t sign up for DOGE to starve the VA and the Veterans Crisis Line.
They didn’t sign up for DOGE to cut the 9/11 Survivor Health Program.
But that’s precisely what DOGE is trying to do, and all to give tax giveaways to the Republican billionaires’ club.
Democrats won’t stand for it.
DOGE isn’t making government more efficient. It’s creating more chaos.
This isn’t what Americans signed up for.
They didn’t sign up for DOGE to endanger their Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
They didn’t sign up for DOGE to fire air safety personnel in droves.
The House Republican bill could cut as much as $880 billion from Medicaid alone.
That puts 80 MILLION Americans—kids, veterans, people with disabilities, rural Americans, the elderly—at risk.
Democrats are standing up for the American people.
House Republicans are advancing a budget resolution clearing the way for perhaps the most draconian cuts to Medicaid ever—all so they can cut taxes for their billionaires’ club.
Democrats will fight this plan tooth and nail.
Republicans are spending precious time trying to cater to the wishes of Trump’s billionaire buddies INSTEAD OF working to avoid a disastrous government shutdown that would hurt tens of millions of American families.
Democrats are fighting for families.
Republicans want to push perhaps the biggest cuts to Medicaid ever, threatening care for kids and seniors, just so Trump's billionaire buddies can have another tax break.
Democrats are fighting for YOU.
The GOP budget resolution will clear the way to pass massive tax giveaways for Trump’s billionaire buddies.
From the moment Trump was sworn in—everything Republicans have done has been to help Trump's billionaire buddies.
Democrats won't stop fighting for American families.
It’s been 3 years since Putin viciously invaded Ukraine and started killing civilians.
But instead of standing for democracy—Trump spent today sucking up to Putin.
It threatens our national security.
Democrats will never give in to Putin and will never stop fighting for democracy.
On the third anniversary of Putin’s heinous war on the people of Ukraine:
Trump is parroting Russian misinformation and propaganda.
I will not stop fighting for freedom, for democracy, for truth, against this tyrant Putin, and for the American people.
Trump has always admired autocrats, strongmen, and bullies.
Putin is going to eat his lunch, and America is going to suffer in the long term.
Democrats will not stop fighting for freedom, for democracy, for the American people.
Donald Trump is showing weakness to Putin on the 3rd anniversary of Putin's heinous war on the people of Ukraine, and it goes back to a pattern for Trump:
But today, Donald Trump is turning his back on the values that America stands for.
Donald Trump is showing weakness to Putin and endangering America’s security tomorrow.
Democrats will not stop fighting for democracy.
Until now, the United States has been clear on where we stand: With Ukraine, for democracy, for the inviolability of borders, and the freedom of nations, and against Putin.
