Today, I along with Rep. Bill Huizenga, Rep. Andrew Garbarino, and Rep. Janelle Bynum introduced the Access to Small Business Investor Capital Act, which will make it easier for business development companies to invest in U.S. small and medium sized businesses.
I'm deeply saddened over the passing of my friend and colleague, Congresswoman Nita Lowey – a remarkable legislator and role model, who leaves behind an enduring legacy defined by her integrity, grace and unwavering passion for public service. She will be greatly missed.
#ElonMusk also demoralized the USDA staff. I’m sure many of the best will seek private-sector employment.

I commend my Senate colleagues @padilla.senate.gov and @schiff.senate.gov for refusing to cede power to #DonaldTrump and #ElonMusk, and I stand with Democratic House Leaders in urging Senate Democrats to oppose this disastrous GOP CR and instead work toward a bipartisan solution.
Saddened by the passing of my friend and colleague, Congressman Raúl Grijalva.
I had the pleasure of working alongside Congressman Grijalva for many years. He was a tireless advocate for Arizona and a truly dedicated public servant.
His legacy will endure, and his presence will be missed.
Chag #Purim Sameach to all who celebrate!
May this Purim be filled with plenty of joy and serve as a reminder of the strength found in unity and tradition.
Republicans are telling us before the Senate vote: The Republican CR Bill is a blank check to Trump and #ElonMusk
They will spend what they want and impound the rest.
At a minimum we must insist on language requiring #DonaldTrump not to impound.

Democrats are ready to avoid a shutdown today by voting for a 30-day clean CR.
We could begin negotiations for a bipartisan 2025 spending plan.
#DonaldTrump says: “No, shut it down – I love chaos.”
Make no mistake: #DonaldTrump is on the verge of shutting down the government.
#Republicans decided to reject all Democratic input. Not even one small compromise.
Perhaps our chaos President wants catastrophe.
While I'm ready and willing to support bipartisan government funding, today's House #Republican funding bill represents nothing more than a devastating betrayal of hardworking American veterans, seniors and families. (2/2)
#ElonMusk has made it clear: He's targeting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for devastating cuts.
And House #Republicans voted today to give him a blank check to do just that. (1/2)
#Biden was able to avoid a recession, even with the Covid disruption.
#Trump was handed an excellent economy with inflation on its way down.
Now we see self-inflicted wounds. The markets are predicting a recession caused by the chaotic policies of Donald Trump.
While I have fought for a later deadline, this three-week extension provides immediate relief to those who have not registered yet.
I will continue to advocate for a longer application period, however the new deadline is March 31 and a further extension is unlikely.
FEMA & SBA announced the deadline for victims of the #LosAngelesWildfires to apply for aid has been extended by 21 days.
The new deadline to apply for FEMA and most SBA disaster assistance is March 31.
Even if you do not know if you are eligible, apply now on both the FEMA and SBA websites.
In addition to Trying to fire air traffic controllers, #ElonMusk's efforts have led to the Actual firing of the employees that maintain the air traffic control equipment.
