The American people need more clarity from President Trump about the military operations in Iran.
I joined Fox News on Saturday morning to discuss Iran.
President Trump is exercising a level of executive authority we haven't seen before.
I spoke with @ms.now on Saturday night to discuss the military actions in Iran.
I hope the Iranian people create a better government, but remain hesitant if that will actually happen.
I joined NewsNation on Saturday night to discuss the conflict in Iran.

This is the most cavalier manner any president has ever gone to war with ... . Saying, 'Man, some people are going to get killed.' ... You have to take much more responsibility for placing the lives of the men and women who serve our country on the line than that."

"Trump's war against Iran drags on with no end in sight, and increasingly with no clear objective. ... We have no explanation, while the president callously and cavalierly says, 'Well, there'll be more casualties.'"

Never before in the history of our country has a president started a war of this size without making any effort to convince Congress or the American people.
I joined KOMO to discuss Iran.
President Trump has launched a war of choice against Iran.

“Overnight, the President ordered preemptive military strikes against Iran. ... I oppose these preemptive strikes and am concerned the situation is prone to rapid escalation that puts Americans at risk and threatens to drag us into a war of choice with no strategic endgame."

Rep. Smith's Statement on the Trump Administration Employing Military Force Against Iran.
By driving down rent and purchase prices of single-family homes, we can make life more affordable for families both in Washington and across the country.
A year ago today, I introduced the Humans Over Private Equity (HOPE) for Homeownership Act to crack down on corporate greed and kick hedge funds out of our housing market.
Far too many families struggle to afford rent or to buy a home, while large investors are buying up available properties and squeezing our prospective new owners.
We must address the core problem of the concentration of wealth in the hands of the few at the expense of the many.
More than half of Americans can only afford to maintain their current standard of living, even those making over $100,000. Life is too expensive today, leaving many working-class people unable to fund major expenses like buying a new car, purchasing a home, or even paying for their health care.
We're the wealthiest country in the world and that wealth has been generated by the working class. But too often, profits go only to shareholders.
This Trump-backed election-security bill is a solution in search of a problem. This bill would make it harder for Americans to express their voice at the ballot box. I strongly oppose the Republican efforts to nationalize the election process under the Trump Administration.
