These are people with green cards, refugees, and people with valid work authorizations, but Stephen Miller and his crew want to weaponize the government to drive legal immigrants out of the country.
The Trump Administration tried to declare that 3 million immigrants, including taxpayers who are in the United States legally, were dead in order to cut them off from banking and other government services necessary in modern-day America.
ICYMI: The Trump administration tried to have nearly 3 million people - including American citizens and permanent residents - classified as dead through the Social Security Administration.
🧵 on how, why, and why it matters

The party of "fiscal responsibility" has made their stance clear: deficits don't matter when it comes to tax breaks for billionaires and blank checks for ICE.

What are House Republicans up to this week?
Not lowering your costs.
Not fighting corruption.
Not protecting healthcare.
But funneling $70 billion to ICE’s masked thugs.
I was proud to participate in the Pride flag raising at Delaware County Courthouse with a joyous crowd from our community🏳️🌈
Together, we have the power to save lives and build a safer community. Grateful for our PA 05 community who showed up today!
Gun violence has taken the lives of too many of our loved ones, neighbors, and friends. We cannot allow this to be normal, I will always fight for common sense gun safety reforms in Washington🎗️🧡

Senate Republicans just voted to send ICE $72 BILLION without any reforms.
Now ICE is hiding data on the condition of their detention facilities, their treatment of detainees, and the deaths that have resulted.
Republicans chose to bankroll this cruelty and lack of transparency.
We should not retreat from this success. We must enact common-sense gun safety laws to protect our children and communities.
I am particularly proud of collaborative efforts in Chester and Philadelphia that have reduced juvenile gun violence and shooting deaths. But the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans are defunding these programs.
On Gun Violence Awareness Day, Judiciary Democrats took testimony from experts about the significant reductions in gun violence that have occurred across the country as a result of Congressional funding and support for policies that prevent gun violence in our communities.🎗️🧡
ICE and CBP have terrorized communities across our nation. But the GOP has refused to reform those agencies, and instead is sending them $70 BILLION more, while hardworking Americans are struggling to put food on their tables.
Americans deserve to have their First and Fourth Amendments protected, and that includes their right to privacy when sending or receiving mail.
Americans have the right to expect that our government won't spy on them, especially for unlawful purposes. That’s why I introduced the Postal Data Privacy Act, legislation that requires law enforcement to obtain a court order to legally access certain postal information through the USPIS.
Tonight, I join my Ukrainian American constituents in celebrating the passage of the Ukraine Support Act🇺🇦, which provides military aid to Ukraine and sanctions Putin and Russia for their unlawful aggression.
People should be pissed off that the President is using taxpayer dollars to
1. Knock down the East Wing
2. Name the Kennedy Center after himself
3. Build golden arches
ALL WHILE cutting people’s health care, cutting food assistance for poor children, and weakening customer service at Social Security
If Republicans are so concerned about fraud, waste and abuse, I suggest they take a look inside the White House.
I was proud to vote in favor of this resolution because I know how detrimental this poorly conceived and executed war has been for the American people.
