In case I’ve not made myself clear—no family in America should go hungry. Period.
Trump’s decision to withhold SNAP is unconscionable and immoral. The GOP needs to come back to DC and reopen the government. And the Admin needs to release the funds so families can put food on the table on Saturday.
The White House is letting 42 million Americans go hungry, while they have money and a plan to continue payments during the shutdown.
I support @governor.pa.gov's decision to join 24 other states' lawsuit to use its contingency funds so ~2 million Pennsylvanians don't go hungry.
Americans won't have access to SNAP Benefits because the White House won't use rainy day funds for:
16 million children
8 million seniors
4 million people with disabilities

- it is making our country safer by deploying armed forces to American cities
- it is targeting armed and dangerous undocumented immigrants
Americans should be concerned that this abuse of power and lawlessness could come to their city or town next.
