In his second term, Trump has hit Canada with aggressive tariffs and repeatedly said it should become the “51st state.”
In an escalation of this trade war, he’s threatening to stop the opening of a new U.S.-Canada bridge until his demands are met.
I worked in a bipartisan way to ban cell phones during instructional time at all DOD-run schools. This is an important first step, and parents across the country are demanding action to help our kids learn. We should ban them in every K-12 school nationwide.
We could declare a housing emergency. We could make health care make sense. But the federal government is not doing those things, and people are not happy.
