Too often, people in power forget those around them who make it possible. I saw that up close when I was serving in Iraq, and senators — some of whom I serve with now — would come for a visit and forget to acknowledge ‘the little people’ supporting them. (1/2)
We have a big moment coming up on Sept. 30 to pass a federal budget. I'm willing to work with anyone, but I am going to fight for health care. And if you are not going to do anything to restore health care to Americans or lower the price, it is going to be tough to get my vote.

Michigan has always had a special role in supplying our military since WWII. Today, a full 60% of what our soldiers shoot and drive comes from right here in Michigan. Why? Because of our history of innovation and generations of manufacturing experience.
