Every worker in America should have the right to join a union, including the over 320,000 workers at the VA. The Trump Admin's decision to end that agreement is an attack on collective bargaining everywhere, and it does nothing to improve veterans' quality of care. www.cnn.com/2025/08/06/p...

After a busy week last week in West Michigan, Detroit, and Grayling, yesterday I started off at Eastern Michigan University, with the Mayor of Ypsilanti, Nicole Brown, and City Manager Andrew Hellenga, and other local leaders from across Washtenaw County. (1/2)
This expansion brings good-paying jobs, cutting-edge vehicle technology, and new opportunities for collaboration across industries. It’s no surprise they are led by someone who grew up in Detroit, and I’m proud to welcome Applied Intuition’s continued investment in Michigan. (2/2)
Michigan has always been the engine of innovation in America’s auto industry, and the opening of Applied Intuition’s Ann Arbor office shows that our leadership in innovative new technologies is only growing stronger. (1/2)
The Social Security Act turns 90 years old this week! Decades later, this earned benefit continues to be the foundation for every American to retire with dignity. As long as I am in the Senate, I will fight to protect these earned benefits now and for future generations.
A result of President Trump’s “Big” bill: paying more for your health care. kffhealthnews.org/news/article...

Because of federal cuts, every one of our local elected leaders is struggling to figure out how they will keep their infrastructure project going, their senior center, or their housing project. (2/2)

Michiganders need to know that their federal representative is going to work with them to fight for their federal dollars. (1/2)
Just because you get a deal, doesn’t mean it is a good deal for America. Right now, a Japanese car is subject to a lower tariff than a car made in Canada, with American parts and some American labor.

Under President Trump’s new bill, everyone is going to pay.

Our bill works to strengthen USDA’s programs around biobased products so that we support our farmers and improve their ability to sell their products to biobased producers. (2/2)
In Michigan, we grow things, and we are really good at it. But forces beyond a farmer’s control often make reaching new markets difficult. (1/2)
