Pam Bondi’s days are numbered, and I’m joining efforts to impeach her with my colleague Summer Lee. But just because these people are removed from their positions, does not mean they won’t be held accountable. Everyone who has broken the law will face consequences.
NM has reopened an investigation into Zorro Ranch and none other than Epstein’s attorney, who we deposed today—helped manage the property. So how is it—that Zorro Ranch was never served a warrant and Epstein’s own lawyer claims they did not know DOJ asked NM to drop its investigation?
When asked for one example of voter fraud to justify the SAVE Act and the millions of people it would disenfranchise—Speaker Mike Johnson couldn’t name one. That’s because this bill is about rigging the election for Trump & his friends. That’s why we are a hard no. And, so are the American people.
Our message is clear: Fund TSA, FEMA & the Coast Guard. Pay our federal workers! But not a penny more to ICE. The GOP is playing games with ICE, refusing even the most basic accountability measures. That’s why we filed legislation to get vital programs funded while holding them accountable.
🚨Articles of Impeachment Filed!🚨 Time and again, Pam Bondi and her DOJ have failed survivors, obstructed justice, lied to the courts, and defied Congress and the law. That’s why I joined @repsummerlee.bsky.social in filing Articles of Impeachment against Bondi. It’s way past time for accountability!
For 80 years, Downwinders in the Tularosa Basin never got the justice they deserved after the first atomic bomb was tested at the Trinity Site. Today, we are fighting to make sure every downwinder receives compensation through RECA and we never forget by passing H.R. 4290.
On Friday, we were honored to join the Pueblo of Santa Ana and HHS in announcing $22 million for a new clinic at Santa Ana, which will serve Pueblo and Native communities across central New Mexico. A long time coming! We look forward to working with the IHS Administration to ensure they deliver!
Every day is a new distraction from this Admin—from Venezuela to Iran to covering up the Epstein files. But, we have to stay focused!  Even when it’s dark and scary, we are going to get through this and come out stronger on the other side. We must keep fighting for what we know is right. ❤️
Donald Trump just gave Oak Flat—a sacred site to Indigenous communities in AZ and NM—to a “FOREIGN-OWNED” copper mining company. Communities warned mining would destroy this sacred landscape and drain its waters. Trump’s “America First” is a scam. We’ll keep fighting to protect this sacred place.
Happy Monday! This past week was a District Work Week, and I’m grateful for time back home in NM. Recap: celebrating Women’s History Month, securing funds for housing, healthcare, education, and other projects across NM, plus Oversight work—here’s what’s up and a look ahead for DC this week. ⬇️
Trump is a danger to our country and needs to go. He’s launched an unauthorized war with Iran, can’t answer basic questions about it costing more $1 billion a day, and left families struggling under inflation while handing tax breaks to billionaires. This Admin is taking advantage of the Americans.
NMDOT is in the House! We love our State leaders —who are doing big things for New Mexico. NMDOT is leading the way in ensuring our communities are safe, promoting public transit and economic development, and preserving our NM landscapes! Thank you for the work you do to keep us safe!
