THIS ⬇️ is why War Powers and the consent of Congress is required for military action.
Trump has brought us to the precipice of war, a constitutional crisis, and millions marching in the streets.
To my Republican colleagues: You cannot sit idly by while he endangers our troops, breaks the law, and undermines our democracy.
Find your backbone. Find your moral compass. & DO YOUR JOBS!
Even as we’re dealing with major international crises—we must stop the steal of our public lands. Call your senators! Have your voices heard! 🌲⛰️

HANDS OFF OUR PUBLIC LANDS!
Right now, Senate Republicans are trying to sneak language into Reconciliation that would sell off millions of acres of public lands.
The American people are clear—they do not want the U.S. dragged into another endless war.
Pride is a celebration! This week we’re excited to present our first coffee table concert with “A Band Named Sue”—reclaiming space in country and bluegrass right here in Albuquerque.
Thank you to Adrian, Dair, Carmela, Persephone, and Beck for sharing your story and bringing us joy this week. ❤️
Just in case they forgot—a bipartisan group of lawmakers including myself, have joined a resolution to reaffirm our Congressional powers. Now is the time for diplomacy.
The U.S. Constitution is clear: the authority to declare war sits solely with Congress. President Trump may not declare war or engage in offensive military action without the explicit consent of the United States House of Representatives and Senate.
Thank you to everyone who came out for our Veterans Town Hall this week. You are so appreciated! 🙏🇺🇸
To all our veterans out there—thank you for your service! Every day we’re working to protect the VA and veteran services, to expand healthcare and housing, and to support our veterans through our case work.
I think this says everything we need to know about this Administration ⬇️
Happy Juneteenth everyone! Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reminder that we must continue to fight for freedom for Americans and all people! ❤️🖤💚
Happy Juneteenth, NM! Today and every day, we celebrate Black culture, joy, and community.
We also commit ourselves to the continuing work of ensuring justice, freedom, equality, and the realization of the American promise for all. #BlackHistoryisAmericanHistory #BlackHistoryisNewMexicoHistory
We’re pounding the pavement doing town halls, seminars, meeting with constituents and celebrating our communities histories and resilience. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Veterans Town Hall and our Know Your Rights seminar.
If you missed the KYR seminar, you can watch it here:
Today’s SCOTUS decision is heartbreaking for our trans community. We cannot lose hope. We must keep fighting.
I am proud to be from a state where we have protected LGBTQ+ and trans rights in statute and will continue to fight every step of the way at the national level. 🏳️⚧️
A beautiful night celebrating LaDonna Harris for her lifetime of leadership and advocacy and my dear friend Alvin Warren for his incredible leadership in philanthropy.
Thank you to Natives Americans in Philanthropy & Hispanics in Philanthropy for doing the work every day to create change. 🙏
Our communities deserve access to healthcare.
That means ensuring there are pipelines for doctors, nurses, and others to serve. This is especially true in Tribal communities. So grateful for Dr. Adriann Begay, a leader and mentor who came to help us reintroduce our new bill.
Another big win in the courts for the American people!
Protect our healthcare. Protect science. Protect our people.
Proud to have joined the Congressional amicus brief in support of this case!
It’s summer in New Mexico — and we’re celebrating the beauty and wins in our communities, even as we’re fighting for our democracy, our rights, and the future. Join us this week in Albuquerque! And, share what is making you feel hopeful this week below. 🌺
We must do everything we can to protect mothers and infants.
That’s why I proudly cosponsored the Maternal and Infant Syphilis Prevention Act. I am proud to be helping lead legislation to ensure women and babies in New Mexico get the care and treatment they deserve.
