“The uncertainty is more than troubling.” West Michigan, I hear you. I won’t stand for Elon Musk and Trump’s slash-and-burn approach to governance, which is making life harder for West Michiganders.
Tell your friends: my CLEAR Act now has over 50 cosponsors! Proud to lead this important bill that would ensure DOGE is subject to the same transparency standards as other agencies. We’ve seen that the courts agree with this bill, now it’s time to get it across the finish line and written into law.
West Michigan, I hear you. We’ve had so many folks reach out with interest in our Grand Rapids town hall that we added another on the Lakeshore the next day. We want to make sure we can hear from ALL of you. Your questions, stories, and experiences help me serve you better in Congress.
I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of Rep. Raúl Grijalva, a dedicated public servant and a compassionate leader who fought to protect our environment and ensure access to quality, affordable health care. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and the people of AZ-07.
Republicans: We have a mandate! Americans gave us control of the House, Senate, and the White House! Also Republicans: The Democrats are shutting down the government. Make it make sense. 🤔
The Committee to Honor Cesar E. Chavez is doing incredible work to expand educational opportunities for members of our Latino community, and I was proud to march alongside them today in solidarity with their important mission.
The more semiconductors we produce here at home, the greater our advantage in cutting-edge technologies becomes worldwide. I met with leaders from Hemlock Semiconductors, a Michigan-based company and the ONLY U.S. producer of hyper-pure polysilicon — a critical material for semiconductor production.
House Republicans set a deadline of March 14 to pass a bipartisan budget—that's two days away. @housedemocrats.bsky.social stand united in support of a four-week funding extension that stops harmful cuts, avoids a government shutdown, and allows Congress to reach a true bipartisan funding agreement.
As Republican leadership continues to prevent new moms in Congress from the right to vote by proxy after giving birth, I stood with Sam in my arms on the House floor to sign a petition to change this barbaric rule.
I’m in awe of my friend, Rep. Pettersen, who is reminding us all that moms and women can do ANYTHING. She and her newborn son, Sam, have been travelling to Washington to show up for crucial votes we’ve had in the House during her maternity leave. 🧵
Women’s issues ARE economic issues, and women are paying attention to how Trump & Musk are making life more expensive. From poorly planned tariffs that will cost American families an additional $2,000/year, to gutting reproductive health care, to cutting Social Security & Medicaid. I’m standing up.
