I was proud to speak at the ribbon-cutting of the country's newest public library! 📚 Keizer Community Library has earned its official public library designation, & it will now join Oregon's cooperative library system, expanding access to books, materials, & resources for families across the region.
Trump called affordable housing a “big yawn,” which is bold coming from someone that gets caught sleeping in so many of his public appearances. Meanwhile, families are losing sleep wondering how to make ends meet. The crisis is real, even if Trump is dreaming.
Woodburn is officially a 2026 All-America City! 🇺🇸 This award recognizes how our city leans into diversity, strengthens democracy through collaboration, and builds a welcoming community worthy of America’s 250th anniversary milestone. Congratulations, Woodburn!
Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill made the largest cuts to Medicaid in history and took away SNAP from hungry children, seniors, and veterans. One year later, I am still proud I voted NO. I’ll never support legislation that asks working families to sacrifice just to enrich the ultra-wealthy.
Congress passed bipartisan legislation that would make housing more affordable. The bill is on President Trump’s desk, but he won’t sign it. My colleagues and I have a simple message for him: Sign the damn bill.
Today we celebrate America’s 250th birthday 🇺🇸 But it is also the one-year anniversary of Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill, an un-American law that made people sicker, hungrier, and poorer. As proud Americans, we must strive to move our nation forward, not backwards.
Happy Fourth! Wishing everyone a safe & happy holiday 🇺🇸 As we mark 250 years since our founding, we remember the enduring promise that all people are created equal — & the generations who marched & sacrificed to make that promise real. Today, we recommit ourselves to a more perfect union for all.
I’m leading 24 lawmakers in demanding the Trump Administration withdraw its unfair and unlawful annual asylum fee rule. This policy would destabilize hundreds of thousands of people, harm key industries, and undermine fundamental legal protections.
On National Wildland Firefighter Day, we honor those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. We must provide them with the resources and support they need to do their jobs and protect our communities. In Congress, I’m working to do just that.
Today marks the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 — a landmark step towards equality and justice. We recognize those who fought to make it possible, and we honor them by continuing their important work.
Medicare began 60 years ago today and has continuously served as a vital lifeline for older Americans. As Republicans target these programs, I’m committed to defending and strengthening Medicare for generations to come.
