Today marks ONE full year since President Trump was sworn into office.
He promised to bring in the "Golden Age" of America. He lied.
Instead, he has made life even more unaffordable and uncomfortable for you and your families. (1/2)
House Democrats are fighting to:
✅ lower health care costs
✅ protect good-paying jobs
✅ drive down grocery prices
... and so much more to support you and our neighbors. (2/2)
From the Big, Ugly Bill to Tariffs, Trump's policies in his first year as president have raised the cost of everything from food & health care to housing & utilities.
Inflation is far above target, life is more expensive than ever, & hardworking families are struggling to make ends meet. (1/2)
Today, take some time to take stock of your mental wellbeing.
Caring for your mental health can feel like a long and difficult task, but visit the link below for more helpful tips. 🫂 #MentalHealthMonday
On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we honor his tremendous life and legacy.
During this difficult time in our nation's history, we must recommit ourselves to carrying on Dr. King's fight for justice and equality for all. #MartinLutherKingJrDay
Donald Trump promised a “Golden Age” for Americans. One year later, it’s clear that this promise was only meant for his billionaire buddies.
Hardworking families are stuck paying skyrocketing prices on everything from groceries to utilities to rent.
President Trump lied to the American people.
We can’t fix the Republicans’ unaffordability crisis without addressing housing. It’s the largest expense for most families, who face impossible trade-offs when it’s out of reach. 🏡

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month is an important reminder that prevention and early detection save lives! The vast majority of cases can be prevented by screening and HPV vaccination.

The Trump Administration is sending ICE to terrorize our communities, barring Members of Congress from conducting ICE oversight, all while avoiding the affordability crisis they created.
Watch to hear my full floor remarks on this chaos ⤵️
President Trump (as usual) is trying to flood the news cycle to distract from the fact that his Administration is defying Congress and the law by not releasing the full Epstein files.
We need to hold the rich and powerful accountable, provide transparency, and deliver justice.

Trump promised to put America first. Instead, his tariffs drove up grocery prices for every American, killed export markets for U.S. farmers, and sparked trade wars with our closest allies. The Farm and Family Relief Act ends Trump's trade chaos.

Good morning, Oregonians!
Yesterday, I led a bipartisan letter calling for the Trump Administration to reverse almost $2 billion in cuts to lifesaving mental and behavioral health care funding.
I am happy to announce that this funding has been fully restored! Hear more from me on this win ⤵️ 🎧
Thank you to all my Democratic colleagues who joined me to demand the Trump Administration immediately restore this funding. We can’t afford to delay the treatment Americans need. Read our letter below:

Last night, Trump cut billions in funding for substance use treatment and mental health care. There’s no way to justify this. We’re in the middle of a mental health and opioid crisis. It’s cruel and puts lives at risk. [1/2]
Oregonians deserve safe roads and bridges. That’s why I testified before the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee to advocate for funding for the Newberg-Dundee Bypass.
Listen to what I had to say ⤵️
Our economy is changing fast, and we’ve got to make sure our workers aren’t left behind.
My @newdems.bsky.social colleagues and I just rolled out our plan to strengthen our education system, help more people get good-paying jobs, and increase pathways to success.
President Trump really does not care about making your lives more affordable.
Here is the thing: I don't think that affordability is a hoax, and I am going to keep working to find ways to deliver relief to your wallets.
Signing on was a no-brainer. No mother should ever be denied the lifesaving care they need during labor. Women everywhere should be able to get the maternal care they need with the dignity they deserve.

Members of Congress have a duty to conduct proper oversight, and the Trump Administration is trying to erode that responsibility.
No matter the roadblocks the Admin puts up, I’ll keep holding them accountable.
