@housedemocrats.bsky.social and I are all in on extending the tax credits that keep health care affordable.
Now we just need four Republicans with some common sense to step up and prevent costs from soaring. Who will it be?
Working hard with @repscfigures.bsky.social and my @houseagdems.bsky.social colleagues for a Farm Bill that supports American farmers, producers, and hardworking families.
I’m grateful to my colleagues for standing with me to make sure every Oregonian, regardless of where they live, can access the care they deserve.

Our bill helps change that by making degrees in mental and behavioral health more affordable and by helping new clinicians build their careers in the communities that need them most. (2/3)
Where you live shouldn’t determine the mental health care you receive. But too often, folks in rural and underserved corners of Oregon struggle because there aren’t enough providers nearby, and the wait for care is too long. (1/3)
Trump is purposely not filling key seats at the CFTC, robbing them of their oversight ability.
It’s clear why he’s doing this. It lets him make shady deals, and in the end, this puts everyone’s financial security at risk.
For too long, rural communities have been told to make do with less.
I’m proud to have secured $1 million for Carlton to replace century-old sewer pipes — marking a critical investment in their public health and infrastructure.

As life becomes more expensive under President Trump, one thing the American people certainly can’t afford is more Republican inaction on health care.
It’s time for Republicans to finally find some courage and join Democrats in lowering health care costs before premiums skyrocket.
The Trump Admin canceled tens of millions of dollars to help Oregon deploy smart grid technologies to support a more reliable energy grid.
In the Science Committee, I held the Under Secretary of Energy accountable. They can't continue to undermine programs we rely on to keep prices affordable.
I introduced the Domestic Organic Investment Act to provide grants to organic farmers & producers to ensure they can successfully expand their operations.
As a member of @houseagdems.bsky.social, I'll keep working so they have the tools & resources they need to thrive for generations to come. (1/2)
Today is International Animal Rights Day. When they don’t have a voice, it’s up to us to stand up for them.
It’s why I introduced a bill to strengthen our ability to hold those responsible for illegal animal fighting to account.
It’s time to take a stand against cruelty. Read more ⬇️
Oregon is at the forefront of organic agriculture, yet many growers still struggle to get their products on store shelves.
I introduced a bill to invest in our organic growers — supporting local jobs, cutting import reliance, & keeping our farmers leading a resilient organic economy. Read more 👇
Dignity belongs to each & every person, not just the most fortunate.
Today is a reminder to turn that truth into action, especially when we see that dignity threatened — as the Trump Administration’s escalating abuses targeting our immigrant communities have shown far too clearly.
#HumanRightsDay
I asked the DOE's top scientist: is climate change a sinister tool to grow government power & shrink human freedom?
Dr. Gil made it clear that those are not his words.
He's right, his boss said that. The Sec. of Energy is ignoring the climate crisis & refusing to listen to top advisors. Shameful.
At the end of the month, tax credits that help Americans afford their health care premiums will EXPIRE.
Families will be forced to choose between paying for health care or putting food on the table.
Millions of people will be one diagnosis away from bankruptcy.
I said what I said.
I will keep calling out the Trump Administration’s abuses in our detention system and holding ICE, Homeland Security, and Trump’s allies accountable.
Last night, the House passed @wyden.senate.gov’s bill to help fund schools, roads, & more in rural communities.
I was proud to join the calls urging Speaker Johnson to pass the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act as quickly as possible.
Our rural areas deserve the support they need to thrive.
All @housedemocrats.bsky.social signed a discharge petition to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits for 3 years.
If just 4 Republicans join us, the House will be able to pass this potentially lifesaving extension & stop premiums from skyrocketing.
To my Republican colleagues: do the right thing.
If I remember correctly, President Trump and Republicans promised they would lower the cost of living 🤔
They lied.
Their Big, Ugly Bill and the ill-thought-out tariffs have made life even more expensive for our neighbors.
It needs to stop now.
