Oregon is at the forefront of organic agriculture, yet many growers still struggle to get their products on store shelves.
I introduced a bill to invest in our organic growers — supporting local jobs, cutting import reliance, & keeping our farmers leading a resilient organic economy. Read more 👇
Dignity belongs to each & every person, not just the most fortunate.
Today is a reminder to turn that truth into action, especially when we see that dignity threatened — as the Trump Administration’s escalating abuses targeting our immigrant communities have shown far too clearly.
#HumanRightsDay
I asked the DOE's top scientist: is climate change a sinister tool to grow government power & shrink human freedom?
Dr. Gil made it clear that those are not his words.
He's right, his boss said that. The Sec. of Energy is ignoring the climate crisis & refusing to listen to top advisors. Shameful.
At the end of the month, tax credits that help Americans afford their health care premiums will EXPIRE.
Families will be forced to choose between paying for health care or putting food on the table.
Millions of people will be one diagnosis away from bankruptcy.
I said what I said.
I will keep calling out the Trump Administration’s abuses in our detention system and holding ICE, Homeland Security, and Trump’s allies accountable.
Last night, the House passed @wyden.senate.gov’s bill to help fund schools, roads, & more in rural communities.
I was proud to join the calls urging Speaker Johnson to pass the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act as quickly as possible.
Our rural areas deserve the support they need to thrive.
All @housedemocrats.bsky.social signed a discharge petition to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits for 3 years.
If just 4 Republicans join us, the House will be able to pass this potentially lifesaving extension & stop premiums from skyrocketing.
To my Republican colleagues: do the right thing.
If I remember correctly, President Trump and Republicans promised they would lower the cost of living 🤔
They lied.
Their Big, Ugly Bill and the ill-thought-out tariffs have made life even more expensive for our neighbors.
It needs to stop now.
Corruption erodes trust and undermines the voice of the people. Democracy only works when it works for all — not just the rich & powerful. (2/2)
Trump wouldn’t want you to know this, but today is International Anti-Corruption Day.
As the Admin continues to lie & hide the truth, we must keep demanding full transparency & accountability. (1/2)
His plan gives zero clarity on how much help specialty crop growers will receive. Once again, Trump is playing divider-in-chief — this time dividing our ag industry. He’s dividing row crops from specialty crops when he should be bringing all of ag together. (2/2)
While I’m glad to see that Trump is stepping up to help farmers who have been hurt by his tariffs, his bailout plan doesn’t do nearly enough to help our specialty crop growers. (1/2)
Republicans seriously don’t care about making your life more affordable… frankly, they think it’s a scam.
Instead of discussing real policies to lower the cost of living, they recommend cutting granny out of the gift giving this year to save a few dollars. 🫠
Watch my reaction 👇
I’m proud to co-lead the Specialty Crop & Wine Producer Tariff Relief Act with @mikethompson.house.gov, Rep. Newhouse, Rep. LaMalfa, & @usrepjimmypanetta.bsky.social, so that Congress can step up to help our farmers where the Trump Admin has failed them. (2/2)
Oregon’s world-class wine producers and specialty crop growers are facing real economic pain thanks to Trump’s trade policies. (1/2)
As a member of the @newdems.bsky.social, one of my top priorities is making health care more affordable for everyone.
That's why I'm proud to support our newly released Health Care Action Plan, a framework for lowering costs and expanding care for all Americans.

I’ll keep championing these projects, pushing for every dollar we can secure, and standing up for our rural communities.
Read more about the funding I secured for the City of Carlton below 👇(2/2)
I am proud to have secured $1,000,000 for the City of Carlton to update their sewer infrastructure.
For too long, rural communities have been told to make do with less. That’s why, when House Republicans stripped funding for projects like this earlier this year, I fought to restore it. (1/2)
“From 2019 to 2023, NHTSA recorded more than 4,931 deaths in drunk driving traffic crashes during the month of December.”

On this day in 1941 — “a date which will live in infamy” — Pearl Harbor was attacked.
84 years later, we honor the unwavering courage of those who fought and remember all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
