As the Trump Administration refused to help hungry Oregonians, our local grocers took steps to assist SNAP recipients.
However, the USDA took it one step further to let these grocers know that they could not help feed starving families. Read the full story 🔗 www.oregonlive.com/business/202...
Today, the Marine Corps celebrates its 250th birthday.
As the proud daughter of a Marine, I thank every Marine for their tremendous sacrifices, bravery, and dedication to protecting our freedoms.
Happy Birthday Marines — Semper Fi!

JUST IN: Nearly 2 months after her election, Adelita Grijalva still hasn’t been seated. Chair @repespaillat.bsky.social again calls on Speaker Johnson to act immediately, sending a letter earlier this morning demanding her swearing-in.
The Supreme Court made the right decision not to hear a challenge to Obergefell v. Hodges, which legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.
As it should be, same-sex marriage will remain a constitutional right.
Congrats to @thornsfc.com for the thrilling OT win today over San Diego to send us to the semifinals! 🌹
Time and time again, the courts have reaffirmed that Trump cannot deploy the National Guard to Portland. Today’s ruling is the nail in the coffin. It’s a win for everyone who saw Trump’s abuse of power for what it was.
If Republicans in Congress do not act and extend the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits, Steve’s wife will not be able to afford health care and will likely not re-enroll.
Listen to Steve’s story. 🎧
We’re in the longest shutdown this country has ever seen.
Republicans could put a stop to this
All it would take is for them to come to the table and start working on the issues facing everyday Americans, like rising costs and skyrocketing health care premiums.
Shame on Trump’s Department of Education for STEALING $1 billion meant to help hire school-based mental health professionals.
Our youth are dealing with a mental health crisis, and this decision is ripping away necessary resources from our students.

As a reminder, Oregonians are still receiving November SNAP benefits. Despite a judge’s order to fully fund SNAP, Trump has appealed the ruling and is asking the courts to block full SNAP benefits from going to families. He is doing everything he can to defy the courts to ensure families starve.
If you have questions about your balance, please call customer service toll-free at 888-997-4447 or visit www.oregon.gov/odhs/benefits/pages/ebt.aspx. (2/2)
❗️GOOD NEWS❗️
Oregonians should start to see full November SNAP funds ready and available on their Oregon Trail Cards.
This is because a federal court ordered the Trump Administration to fully release SNAP benefits to recipients by TODAY. (1/2)

When children, seniors, and veterans are going hungry, what is the President's response?
Does he send a $40 billion check to those families like he did to Argentina?
No. He turns his back on Americans. Visit www.oregon.gov/odhs/food/pages/default.aspx for food resources near you.
