I just met with staff at an ICE Field Office in Portland.
My visit reinforced what I knew to be true, the Trump Admin is intentionally creating chaos and confusion around immigration enforcement to seize power and push the boundaries of the law.

The Trump Administration is repealing the Roadless Rule Act, jeopardizing nearly 60 million acres of pristine forestlands, which will threaten wildlife, increase the risk of fires, & exacerbate climate change.
You can submit your comments during the open period until Sept. 19, 2025.
Happy #NationalFoodBankDay! 🍎
I'm committed to ensuring that food banks have the necessary resources to keep their shelves stocked, so no family is left without food on the table.
As an Agriculture Committee member, I'll keep fighting for a fair Farm Bill that includes support for our food banks.
ICYMI: @bynum.house.gov and I joined @newdems.bsky.social's On The Road Tour to hear from constituents and share our commitment to strengthening rural communities across Oregon.

Americans who say they have a good chance of improving their standard of living fell to 25% — the lowest level on record since 1987.
Tariffs and rising prices are taking our country in the wrong direction. We need solutions, not more roadblocks.

*Ding dong* It's me, the man responsible for taking SNAP away from your families 👍
I just left a meeting where I heard the heartbreaking and inspirational stories from victims of Jeffrey Epstein.
I signed the bipartisan petition to force a vote on releasing the full files.
This is about protecting women and holding the rich and powerful accountable. Enough is enough.

Thank you, Planned Parenthood.
We will continue fighting so that you can provide lifesaving health care to women across the country.
Read more about how ICE raids are traumatizing families and children. (2/2)
Instead of picking out school supplies and first-day-of-school outfits, some families are faced with the decision of not enrolling their children in school due to the fear of potential ICE raids there.
Here is the bottom line: Backpacks should hold books, not fear. (1/2)
Congratulations to #Woodburn High School Senior, Isabella Baldisseri, for being elected as the International President of Key Club.
This major accomplishment serves as a testament to Isabella’s hard work and commitment to uplifting our community. Congratulations!
These are the people you have to thank for cutting millions in health care and ripping food from children 👍
September is World Alzheimer’s Month. Today and every day of the year, I am committed to delivering more resources to support people impacted by Alzheimer’s — and ultimately, find a cure.

If you or a loved one is facing a mental health crisis, please call the 988 Lifeline — a free, confidential hotline that is open 24/7. (2/2)
Today marks the start of Suicide Prevention Month. This is an extremely personal subject for me, and I know it is for many of you too.
As Co-Chair of the bipartisan Mental Health Caucus, I will keep fighting to raise awareness, improve access to support, and normalize reaching out for help. (1/2)
Happy Labor Day! Having grown up in a union family, I’m proud to stand with working Americans to celebrate the progress that organized labor has made. I’ll keep fighting to build on that progress — to guarantee fair wages, benefits, and conditions.
