I visited Fought & Company Steel in Tigard, where we discussed tariffs, supply chains, & current projects. I toured the 180,000-sq-ft facility, which plays an important role in our region’s infrastructure.
Supporting manufacturers like this is essential to sustaining good jobs & a strong economy.
Welcome home to a Rip City legend ⌚️ #YKWTII
The Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard, who was traded to Milwaukee in 2023, have agreed on a three-year deal worth $42 million.

In #Oregon, we understand that timely weather analysis is crucial for our communities to plan and prepare. Shuttering NOAA would just put millions in danger.
I am a proud cosponsor of @amo.house.gov & @rephuffman.bsky.social's bill to block Trump from his reckless plans to close NOAA facilities.
President Trump, I would never want you on the other end of a telephone call from someone asking for help with an experience you haven’t lived.
The qualified, trained professionals at the 988 LGBTQI+ lifeline are saving lives & making a difference. Trump is putting LGBTQI+ lives at risk.
REMINDER: I will be hosting a telephone town hall on Tuesday, July 22, at 5 PM PT for you and your neighbors.
To receive a call at the time of the event, you must RSVP by Tuesday, July 22 @ NOON PT.

Lines for Life is dedicated to continuing to serve the LGBTQ+ community and anyone facing a mental health crisis in Oregon.
I will also work tirelessly to ensure that @988Lifeline’s specialized LGBTQ+ hotline is fully restored.

My statement on my vote against the 2026 Defense Appropriations Act:
The 988 Lifeline LGBTQI+ helpline just took its last caller. Congress has the power to restore this line, and I will not stop fighting until it’s available for all who need it.
Watch to hear about my promise to fight the Trump Administration deadly decision ⬇️
Defunding foreign aid and public broadcasting won’t help balance the budget, especially when Trump’s Big, Ugly Tax Scam adds TRILLIONS to the national debt.
I will not support this recklessness. (4/4)
For example, cutting public broadcasting means millions would lose access to local coverage, emergency alerts, & educational programming.
This is an assault on free press that will disproportionately harm our rural communities. (3/4)
Republicans’ rescission package would slash $9 billion of vital funds for public broadcasting and global aid. This will dismantle parts of our government that serve the American people at home and protect their interests abroad. (2/4)
Senate Republicans just rubber-stamped DOGE’s cuts, allowing President Trump to claw back already-approved funding for public broadcasting & international aid.
This isn’t fiscal responsibility — it’s moral failure & bad policy.
Here’s how this impacts you ⬇️ (1/4)
Every 45 seconds, an LGBTQI+ youth attempts suicide. Now, the 988 Lifeline's LGBTQI+ lifeline is being shut down.
I joined Rep. Sharice Davids & a bipartisan group of my colleagues urging Trump to reverse this dangerous decision that will put young lives at risk. We must put a stop to this crisis.
I’m fighting to provide quality care for our underserved communities.
I recently toured Medical Teams International in Tigard and saw their Care & Connect Mobile Health Clinics. I also heard from them about the challenges they’re facing with Republicans’ Medicaid cuts.
Fired up to welcome the team back home ❤️
Happy 3rd Birthday to the 988 Lifeline! 🥳
As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health Caucus, I'm committed to supporting this essential service.
I'll continue advocating for funding & safeguarding their specialty lines, including the LGBTQ+ line, to ensure everyone receives the care they need.

This week on the Fly-In, New Dem Leadership Member & Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health Caucus @salinas.house.gov joins to discuss how Republicans' Big Ugly Bill will devastate mental health care access.

The One Big Ugly Law raises costs across the board.
🍎It drives up grocery prices while taking food assistance away from children & seniors.
🪫It causes utility bills to climb by $400 a year for the average household.
Life in America is already too expensive, & Republicans are making it even worse.
