FACT: The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that grocery prices rose in August, with many major food categories seeing continued inflation. Meats, poultry, fish and eggs are up 5.6% and fruit and vegetables are up nearly 2%. This was the biggest month-over-month increase since August 2022.
#FactCheckFriday The President promised that ‘“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.”
Upper Lake residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours Wednesday, September 17th from 12 to 2pm. Please drop in to discuss with my team any support you may need and stay tuned for more sessions throughout our district.
That’s why it’s critical that Congress pass my bipartisan Disaster Resiliency and Coverage Act, which would provide $10,000 grants and a 30 percent tax credit to home and business owners to harden their properties. (2/2) www.sfchronicle.com/california-w...
As wildfires continue to devastate our communities, mitigation efforts are proven to significantly increase the chances of homes surviving a wildfire. (1/2)
Today marks the 24th anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil. As we remember the lives lost, we honor the survivors, first responders, and families whose lives were forever changed on September 11, 2001.
My team and I are proud to serve #CA04! So far this year, we’ve closed 1,539 cases for constituents and recouped $4.3 million in money owed to Fourth District residents. If you’re in need of help navigating a federal agency, please call my nearest office.
Another terrible shooting. I oppose all gun violence. I oppose all political violence.
Again, I call on Republicans to work with Democrats to keep firearms out of the hands of people who are a danger to themselves or others.
Davis residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours Monday, September 15 from 2 to 4pm with the offices of Supervisor Sheila Allen and Supervisor Lucas Frerichs. Please drop in to discuss with my team any support you may need and stay tuned for more sessions throughout our district.
HHS Secretary RFK Jr. continues to reject science and spread dangerous health misinformation. His policies and action are endangering Americans’ lives. He needs to resign.

After passing a law stripping 15 million Americans of their health care to pay for tax breaks for billionaires, the President and Congressional Republicans are trying to cover up their mess. No amount of rebranding will cover up this bad deal for hardworking Americans.
This #HungerActionMonth, I continue to work to restore food security for the 14,000 of our community members who had their food access taken away by the President and Congressional Republicans.
Despite all his good work, he remained deeply humble. John was the very definition of a public servant. Our state and our party have lost a tenacious fighter and he will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with those who loved John, may he rest in peace. (2/2) abc7news.com/amp/post/joh...
Deeply saddened by the passing of my friend and legendary lawmaker John Burton. Throughout his lifetime of public service, John never shied away from a fight. He spoke honestly and worked hard to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in our communities. (1/2)
The bill also sets tax breaks for working Americans to expire, while making tax breaks for the wealthy permanent.
This law benefits the GOP’s billionaire doors and leaves pennies for working families! (3/3)
Fact: Non-partisan experts found that under the President and Congressional Republicans’ Big, Ugly Law people making over $1 million every year will get $264 per day in tax breaks and those making under $50,000 get only $0.68 per day. (2/3)
#FactCheckFriday The President and Congressional Republicans are rebranding their Big, Ugly Law to the “Working Families Tax Cut Bill.” (1/3)
