FACT: The Big Ugly Law did not end federal income taxes on Social Security and now, the Social Security Administration’s chief actuary reports the law will shorten the Social Security trust fund’s solvency by another year. Read more for yourself.
Sixty-two years ago, hundreds of thousands of brave Americans gathered in our nation’s capital, demanding an end to segregation and discrimination. Today, we honor the legacies of the civil rights leaders who led this march and recommit to carrying on their work toward a more just and equal America.

Our labor unions play a huge role in securing dignity and fair pay for our local workers. Great to join members of Sacramento Central Labor Council, Napa Solano Central Labor Council, and @northbayclc.bsky.social to discuss how we can continue to work together to support and protect union workers.

The American people are holding this administration accountable for their bad policies. After firing tens of thousands of IRS workers and causing long wait times for taxpayers, the Administration is reversing course. www.govexec.com/workforce/20...
This program gives local community leaders hands-on educational experiences to learn about our ag community’s vital contributions to Lake County’s quality of life and economy. Proud to have our Team Thompson Lake County representative, Luca Moretti, participating in this year’s program!
Earlier this year, the President and Congressional Republicans cut $25 million in fire prevention grants for Napa County and cut $35 million in fire prevention grants for Sonoma County. These funds could have helped save lives.
105 years ago, the 19th Amendment became part of the Constitution, finally recognizing women's right to vote across our country. On Women’s Equality Day, we continue the fight for equality for women in every area of life.

Congratulations to MAVA on another successful La Cosecha Grand Tasting event! For the last 13 years, this event has not only brought Mexican-American wineries together for a grand tasting, but has also been a vibrant celebration of Latino culture and our community.
A large, colorful sign spells out "MAVA" on a grassy lawn next to a pond. Each letter is decorated with wine-related images, such as grapes on the "M," a grapevine pattern on the "A," and a bottle and glass on the final "A." A windmill and trees are in the background.
Attendees gather at a tasting table for Aldina Vineyards during the MAVA La Cosecha event. The table is laden with bottles of wine and a large banner with the winery's name and a drawing of a vineyard. The tasting takes place on a lawn in front of a modern building.

It's clear: federal enforcement can't be selective when public safety is at stake. As Chair of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I will continue to fight back against policies that undermine community safety and encourage open-carry loopholes.
Dangerous hypocrisy on full display. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, while touting massive weapon seizures and a ‘crime crackdown’ in D.C., has abruptly stopped prosecuting open carry of rifles and shotguns. Yet she continues to brag about taking illegal guns off the streets.
