FACT: President Trump and Musk’s DOGE is firing 83,000 VA staffers. After our historic expansion of Veterans benefits in 2022 under the Biden Administration, 740,000 more veterans have signed up for care. (2/3)
#FactCheckFriday When asked about his plans to fire Veterans Affairs employees, the President recently stated that: “We love our veterans. We’re gonna take good care of them.” (1/3)
Thank you to North Bay Labor Council for supporting federal workers. DOGE is firing the federal workers who help us fight fires, deliver social security, help veterans, conduct ag research, repair our roads and bridges, ensure air travel is safe, staff IRS offices, and more. We won’t stand for it.
Congressional Republicans are cutting Medicaid to fund tax cuts for the ultra-rich. This will reduce health care services at best, and shutter local hospitals at worst. This affects care for every single member of our community.
Thank you to the over 150 Sonoma Valley community members who joined me for my “Coffee with Our Congressman” event. I’m working to fight back against the President’s unlawful actions in Congress, in the courts, and in the court of public opinion.
From our spectacular almonds and grapes, to our prunes, olives and more in #CA04 there’s a lot to celebrate on #NationalAgricultureDay. To the over 14,000 ag workers in our district who keep our agricultural community the envy of the world: Thank you!
National Agriculture Day
Many seniors, disabled Americans, and rural Americans aren’t able to travel to a Social Security field office in person to set up their benefits. Not to mention the Administration plans to close over 100 offices nationwide.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀 Celebrate responsibly—enjoy the music and the traditions but make smart choices. Plan a safe ride home, watch out for friends, and keep the festivities fun for everyone.
Thrilled to announce that the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for all high school students in California’s Fourth District is now open! One of my favorite programs of the year, the competition highlights the excellent artistic talents of high school students from our district.
4 years ago today, a gunman targeted three spas in Georgia, killing eight people. Today, we remember those lost, hold their loved ones in our hearts, and recommit to enacting sensible policies to end the gun violence epidemic.
