Politico reports: “a group of vulnerable House Republicans is arguing that the bulk of those reductions will have to come out of Medicaid given that the panel has virtually no other options to make cuts of that magnitude.”
Politico news excerpt that says: "The budget blueprint sets out a minimum of $880 billion in cuts from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and a group of vulnerable House Republicans is arguing that the bulk of those reductions will have to come out of Medicaid given that the panel has virtually no other options to make cuts of that magnitude."

Republicans are losing in the court of public opinion, so Republican leadership is instructing their members not to hold town halls. Americans are rightfully angry that the President and Elon Musk are trying to slash important services and fire civil servants.
House Democrats took to the Capitol today to rail against Republicans’ disastrous budget resolution, which proposes devastating cuts to Medicare, SNAP, school funding and more to greenlight trillions in tax cuts for the rich. We won’t stand for it.
The workers at the Office of Community Planning and Development help deliver much-needed funding to rebuild homes after disaster strikes. Our district received $99 million in recovery grants through this office following the 2017 wildfires https://buff.ly/41uHdTk

Thank you to the 350 community members who joined me for a town hall in Santa Rosa last night. Your voices are making a real impact as we push back against Trump’s unlawful actions. I encourage you to keep sharing your stories with your neighbors, friends, families, and elected officials.
Kelseyville residents: My team is hosting in-person office hours this Thursday, February 27th from 2 to 4pm. Please drop in to discuss with my team any support you may need and stay tuned for more sessions throughout our district.
