Trump’s foreign policy is all about enriching his family & rich friends. It was his billionaire donor Ron Lauder, who has investments in Greenland, who told him to buy it. Now Trump risks the NATO alliance & war with Europe to pad his friend’s pockets. We can’t let that happen.
Opening fraudulent investigations into Governor Walz & Mayor Frey is a textbook example of prosecutorial misconduct. Judges must start imposing sanctions and holding lawyers accountable. To every federal official participating in these shams: one day you will be held accountable.
Instead of investigating the death of Renee Good, Trump wants to investigate Governor Walz & Mayor Frey. Despicable. This is a clear weaponization of justice against Trump's political rivals & a desperate attempt to distract from ICE's growing brutality & Trump's lawlessness.

In May, I told Rubio that locking up students for exercising their free speech rights was outrageous & unlawful. He scoffed. Now, a judge has said he & others engaged in an “unconstitutional conspiracy” to take away those rights. We must defend our freedoms at every turn.
I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery. You shouldn't be paying the energy costs for big data centers. The way to be CERTAIN of that is to pass my Power for the People Act, to make corporations pay their own bills. If he's serious, Trump should help us get it done!
As data centers pop up around the country, Americans are subsidizing their costs in their energy bills. That's not right. Today, I introduced the Power for the People Act to ensure that the huge corporations building & running these data centers pay the tab, not you.
Just met w/ senior officials from Denmark & Greenland. When Trump says we need Greenland for security, remember: they already allow US & NATO bases there & don’t oppose additional measures. This is a land grab by Trump. Don't be shocked if he tries to rename it Trump-land.
Just a reminder, for those of you who thought Republicans might’ve grown a spine: Yesterday, after posturing & hand wringing, they had the chance to put an end to Trump's illegal military operations in Venezuela. They voted no. Their cowardice only further emboldens Trump.
The military junta in Myanmar has bombed villages, killed thousands of its own people & displaced millions. Secretary Rubio & the Admin need to condemn these horrors & call out these staged “elections” for what they are: a farce meant to legitimize the junta’s cruelty & power.
We do not have kings or dictators in America. These monuments belong to the people. Our bill would prevent Trump, or any other president, from using our public monuments to glorify & worship themselves.
President Trump is rapidly moving this country toward authoritarianism. Part of that is creating the myth of the “Great Leader” by naming public buildings after himself—something dictators have done. Today I introduced a bill with @vanhollen.senate.gov & @alsobrooks.senate.gov to stop it.
The Iranian govt's attacks on protestors are unacceptable, & as I've said before, we must support the Iranian people's fight for a better future. But bombs do not create democracies and they are not the answer. Is Trump's plan to just bomb every dictatorship in the world?
Free speech and the right to peacefully protest are universal rights. The Iranian government’s crackdown on these protestors is unacceptable — they must allow Iranians to use their voices without fear of violence.  www.nytimes.com/2026/01/01/w...
Arlit Maria Martinez’s only request was to visit her son, Kevin, who was dying of cancer. ICE refused and he died later that day. This Administration has no decency nor sense of humanity. We are in contact with Arlit's family and ICE must allow her to attend her son’s service.
This investigation is a sham — and yet another example of Trump's dangerous weaponization of our justice system. He pardons his friends, convicted drug kingpins, & Jan 6th rioters who attacked police, but goes after Chair Powell for refusing to act as a rubber stamp.
Noem is once again trying to obstruct oversight at ICE facilities. This comes just days after we found out DHS LIED about a shooting in Maryland & we all saw the horrible killing of Renee Good. We cannot just hope for better. No more money for DHS without accountability.
