Tonight Senate Republicans will try to ram through a budget that sets the stage for huge tax cuts for billionaires — all while Trump and Musk continue to cut vital public services for all other Americans.
We'll be fighting back all night and proposing amendments to stop this betrayal.

EVERY American should be ashamed by what Trump said today, undermining the Ukrainian people and freedom and democracy around the world. What an American President says matters. And Zelenskyy is not the dictator — Putin is.
This is just plain wrong. And Republicans should say so.
Senate Republicans are trying to ram through a budget that cuts vital services for the American people so they can pay for tax cuts for Musk and the billionaires.
I'm live on the Senate floor to discuss this and Trump's great betrayal of the American people:
Egg prices are soaring and other costs rising, so what are Trump, Musk and Republicans focused on?
Cutting vital public services for the American people so they can pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
Included in Trump and Musk's mass layoffs were hundreds of FAA employees who keep U.S. air travelers safe.
Apparently Trump and Musk are missing what’s obvious to the American people: we need to do MORE to improve our air safety right now — not less.
As I told @maddow.msnbc.com, we're fighting Trump and Musk's illegal power grabs everywhere we can — in Congress, in the courts, and on the ground in Maryland and across the country.
They're counting on us to sit quietly while they tear our government and our country apart. We will not.
This is what happens when you let a bunch of inexperienced hacks tear down vital government agencies and services.
This is not a game. Elon Musk and the DOGE boys are playing with people’s lives and our national security, and we need to shut them down.
To all those receiving layoff notices from the Trump-Musk Admin, know that we stand with you and are working with our legal partners and in Congress to fight back and right these wrongs.
If you want to report what you're seeing or experiencing, you can share your story here:
I salute the federal workers, prosecutors, and others who have chosen to resign on principle rather than follow illegal, unethical and wrongful orders from Trump and Musk.
I stand with you — and I will keep fighting to stop and reverse the spree of illegal actions they've taken.
I am all for negotiations to bring peace in Ukraine. But the Ukrainians should be at the table and Trump should not be making unilateral concessions before the talks begin.
We and our NATO allies must stand with Ukraine — not engage in extortion.
Imagine if in the middle of WWII, FDR had told Churchill that we would cut off support in the fight against Hitler and the Nazis unless the UK gave us 50% of their coal and mineral reserves.
Our world would be a different place — but that’s exactly what Trump is doing with Ukraine⬇️
On this #PresidentsDay, I joined hundreds of patriots in Annapolis as part of a nationwide effort to defend our democracy against the illegal actions of autocrats and kleptocrats like Trump and Musk.
We can’t let them cut vital public services for Americans to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
This is not about efficiency, it is idiocy, and illegal at that. The idiocy we cannot reverse — but we can reverse their illegal actions.
My full statement on Trump’s actions against federal workers:
These layoffs don’t just hurt dedicated public servants — they hurt the federal government’s ability to deliver for working Americans.
To all the federal workers affected, I stand with you and won’t stop fighting to reverse this reprehensible action.
To the Republicans on the Foreign Relations Committee — do you realize how Elon Musk's lies about USAID reflect on YOU?
When he calls USAID a "criminal enterprise"...he's also implicating YOU as co-conspirators for funding it.
YOU NEED TO STAND UP TO MUSK AND HOLD SFRC HEARINGS!
Americans rely on NOAA for lifesaving weather forecasts and so much more. So why do Elon Musk and the DOGE boys want to dismantle it?
Well, it has nothing to do with government efficiency and everything to do with lining the pockets of Big Oil and other commercial interests⬇️
Trump may think he's a great dealmaker, but there's nothing savvy about giving up leverage before negotiations even start.
As I said yesterday, I'm all for negotiating — but you don't start negotiations by playing to Putin's hand and throwing the Ukrainian people under the bus⬇️
They can try to hide this all they want, but this is just the tip of the iceberg of Elon Musk’s conflicts of interest.
Since they fired the Inspectors General who would’ve held him accountable, we’ll see unprecedented levels of corruption until we end Musk's illegal raids on federal agencies.
RFK Jr. isn't just unqualified to run HHS — he also poses a direct threat to our public health. We're holding the Senate floor and doing everything we can to delay this dangerous nomination.
Tune in as I explain why I'm voting NO on RFK Jr.⬇️
I’m heading to the Senate floor shortly to talk about the dangerous threat RFK Jr. poses to our public health.
I know it's late, but I hope you’ll tune in — and I urge all of my colleagues to join me in voting NO on this dangerous nomination.
