I'm proud to have the support of Colonial Farm Credit and Farm Credit of the Virginias for our bipartisan Farm Credit Adjustment Act — an important step that cuts cumbersome red tape for America's farm credit institutions. (1/2)
It was an honor to recognize Chief Newsham and the PWC Police for their outstanding work apprehending a high-ranking MS-13 member. I was proud to enter this achievement into the Congressional Record. Thank you for your service and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
As the only Virginian on the House Agriculture Committee, I’m honored to be a voice for our farmers and producers in Congress. Thank you to those who opened their farms during yesterday’s five-stop tour — your stories guide my work to advance Virginia’s ag priorities on Capitol Hill.
Antisemitism is fueling violent extremism and threatening both Jewish Americans and our democracy. 🚨That's why I’m working with Rep. Bacon on a bipartisan bill to require a report to Congress on how this hatred is used by extremist movements — so we can take action and keep our communities safe.
61 years ago, President Johnson signed the Economic Opportunity Act with the goal of ending poverty in the United States. Although progress has been made, too many families still struggle to make ends meet — and recent rollbacks by the Trump Admin have threatened programs designed to help them.
Did you know Virginia is home to the world’s best bourbon? A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg has twice earned that title. Businesses like this strengthen our economy, attract visitors from across the country, and keep our communities thriving.
If you ate today, thank a farmer! 🐄   Stop #4: Heaven’s Hollow Farm in Orange, VA — a veteran-operated cattle farm run by Jacob and Jennifer Gilley. They met in 4-H and now raise cattle on her family’s farm, which has been in operation nearly 70 years.
At stop #3, we’re visiting Hidden Pines Meat Processing in Madison. For more than 20 years, Shawn and Alice Woodfolk have built a trusted, family-run business processing wild game and serving their community. Thanks for welcoming me to see your operations!
Our second stop is Old House Vineyards in Culpeper.   What started as an abandoned hay farm has grown into a winery, distillery, and brewery — all thanks to the Kearney family’s vision and hard work. Thank you for hosting us!
