It was a gorgeous day to participate in Supervisor Andrea Bailey’s annual 5K raising awareness for mental health resources.
I enjoyed running alongside Marines from Marine Corps Base Quantico and joining so many folks in getting their exercise!

Congratulations to our 2025 Congressional Art Competition winner, Kaitlyn Marie Anthes!
Her winning piece "To Light and Guard" will hang in the U.S. Capitol alongside winners from across the country.
I enjoyed celebrating all of the student artists who participated in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition at Thursday’s ceremony in Fredericksburg!
Their work brings to life the rich stories and perspectives that shape our community.
Thank you all for coming!
Virginia is home to hundreds of thousands of small businesses that are the heart of our communities and economy.
During #SmallBusinessWeek, I'm committed to advocating for smart policies that benefit our business owners and entrepreneurs.
As a veteran, I know it’s not just our service members who serve. Military spouses do too — with strength and resilience that often goes unseen.
On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor their courage and promise to always have their backs.
Helping constituents cut through red tape and navigate issues involving the federal government is a top priority for my office.
Contact our team and we may be able to help you — just like we were able to help Dana resolve her issue with a federal agency.
The Trump Administration is dismantling critical CDC programs aimed at addressing our nation's maternal health crisis.
🚨Today, I joined my Virginia delegation colleagues in urging RFK Jr. to protect these vital programs and strengthen the CDC’s public health efforts.
Working families are facing rising costs, a looming recession, and cuts to their healthcare and food assistance.
…and yet Republicans are choosing to focus on renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
Make it make sense.
Trump’s reckless tariff taxes are squeezing small businesses with higher costs and fewer options.
In Congress, I’m pushing for smart, stable trade policies that protect Virginia's entrepreneurs and help them grow — not the opposite. #SmallBusinessWeek
Instead of working to lower costs for the American people, House Republicans are focused on renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
This sounds like it should be an SNL skit…
🚨 I signed on to this discharge petition to force Speaker Johnson to bring a vote to the floor to protect Medicaid and SNAP.
We just need four House Republicans to join us and protect these vital programs that hardworking families in Virginia and across our country rely on.
On National Teacher Appreciation Day, I'm proud to recognize Fredericksburg Mayor Kerry Devine as my 'Constituent of the Week.'
As the dad of two kids who have attended Virginia schools, I am grateful to the teachers who go above and beyond to make sure every student feels valued and empowered.
As the representative for tens of thousands of federal workers in Virginia’s Seventh District, I’m proud to celebrate Public Service Recognition Week.
At a time when public servants are under attack, I’ll always fight for the pay, protections, and respect they’ve earned.
I applaud the decision to send more equipment to Ukraine. The fastest way to end this war is to make sure Putin knows he can’t win it. I’ll work with anyone to increase the pressure on Russia — that’s how Ukraine wins.
My constituent Luka lives with NKH, a rare and life-limiting condition.
I welcomed Luka and his family to the Capitol for the introduction of a resolution designating NKH Awareness Day.
His story is a powerful reminder of why we must protect Medicaid for those who rely on it.
I was honored to attend the Prince William County Police Department Session 60 Academy Graduation.
Congratulations to all of the graduates! Thank you all for choosing a career of service and working to keep our communities safe.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, remember that you are never alone.

🇺🇸2025-2026 applications for U.S. service academy nominations from my office are now open!
I'm honored to recommend outstanding students from VA-07 as they apply for a spot at our nation's service academies.
To be considered for a nomination from my office, apply by October 13.
Cindy and I had a great time at the Fredericksburg Earth Day festival this weekend!
It was great to chat with so many folks who are shaping a healthier neighborhood and world for future generations.
