I am horrified by the attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Bigotry and Islamophobia have no place in America.
I am praying for the victims and their families. Americans should be safe everywhere they go, especially in places of worship.

People died fighting for your Civil Rights.
Trump's Supreme Court is playing with the blood of our ancestors.
Ban partisan gerrymandering nationwide.
RFK Jr. ought to be fired immediately.
And if he isn't fired, he should have the decency to resign.
My father had to give up his bus seat. Now his son sits in a Senate seat.
These gerrymandered maps only work if we don’t show up.
That is what they are counting on.
These maps will break under the pressure of turnout.
Drastic cuts to the CDC have deadly consequences.
We are not responding to Hantavirus as fast as we should be because Trump and RFK Jr. have fired hundreds of disease experts.
This admin needs to fully restore CDC’s capabilities so we can better respond to these threats.
John Lewis was my parishioner.
He had no reason to think that he would win when he was crossing the Edmund Pettus bridge.
But he just kept walking.
We must keep walking.
When I was born, Georgia’s Senator was an arch segregationist. Now I sit in that seat.
I just forced a vote to protect Americans from predatory medical debt.
The Trump administration is making it easier for debt collectors to go after sick and struggling Americans.
That's just cruel and unfair.
I just voted YES on a resolution to end the war in Iran.
They are spending billions of your tax dollars on this war while stripping health care away from millions at home.
It's a failure of leadership to the highest degree.
I was over the moon to have met the Artemis II astronauts yesterday!
I am deeply disturbed to hear about the bomb threat against Secretary Raffensperger and I am relieved that he was not harmed.
Political violence has no place in America. We must condemn it unequivocally.
Trump and RFK Jr.'s drastic cuts at the CDC have left us exposed.
It took an entire month for the Administration to stand up a CDC-led team to respond to Hantavirus.
That is unacceptable. And I intend to demand answers.
Instead of changing his policies, Donald Trump is trying to change the shape of the electorate.
That's what wannabe dictators do when they feel their grip on power slipping.
We don't have time for bigotry and xenophobia.
We don't have time to be divided.
The American dream is slipping out of reach. And it's up to us to build a future that is worthy of all of our children.
I have been sounding the alarm about this for months.
We are not prepared to deal with Hantavirus because of Trump and RFK Jr.'s cuts to the CDC.
Sec. Kennedy must immediately explain his plan keep Americans safe from this disease.
A very happy Mother’s Day to all the women in Georgia and across the country who are blessed to be called Mom.
And I’m wishing a very special Mother’s Day to my incredible mom, Pastor Verlene Warnock!
You cannot remember Dr. King and dismember his legacy at the same time.
It has never been more important that we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
Honor his legacy. Protect the vote.
