The Administration's actions against Sen. Padilla are egregious and part of their continuing assault against any form of checks and balances. There is no sugarcoating this: These are dark times for our democracy. I stand in solidarity with my friend & colleague @padilla.senate.gov.
It’s time to close the chapter of endless tax giveaways for billionaires and giant corporations. It’s time to take bold action to save the middle class. A better future is possible if we raise our voices and demand it together.
Some good news: The Atlanta-based CDC will be rehiring hundreds of employees who were recklessly terminated by the Trump admin earlier this year. The fight is far from over but this proves that when we raise our voices together, we can win.
We don't suffer from a poverty of resources; we suffer from a lack of moral imagination. Instead of giving tax breaks to billionaires, let's invest in: -Education & training -Health care -Cutting RX prices -Child care for the working class
Here's what keeps me up at night: kids growing up in public housing today will have a much harder time making it than I did. That's an indictment of the status quo and the direction GOP politicians are trying to take our country.
81 years ago, the beaches of Normandy were stormed by thousands of brave men to defeat fascism in Europe and protect the world from tyranny and evil. May we honor their courage and the sacrifice they made in defense of the freedoms we enjoy today.
