MANA’s plant in Fitzgerald employs Georgians in good-paying jobs doing lifesaving work to end hunger around the world. That’s why I’ve been working hard to get the Trump Administration to unfreeze MANA’s federal funding. Thank you to MANA's CEO Mark Moore for stopping by!
Last month, I sent a letter to HHS Secretary Kennedy demanding answers on the mass firings of thousands of CDC workers who keep us safe from disease. I've received no response. We deserve answers on what this means for our health & safety, and I intend to get them.
I just voted YES on an amendment to block DOGE from ever closing a single Social Security office in Georgia and across the country. Cuts to Social Security services are nothing more than an attempt to stop folks from accessing their benefits.
I just voted YES on an amendment to end the Trump tariffs that raise the price of groceries. These tariffs are nothing more than a tax on working families that are already wreaking havoc on our economy. Unfortunately, Washington Republicans voted down the amendment.
57 years ago today, Georgia’s greatest son—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—was taken from us in a hateful act of violence. His legacy, his vision, and his dream to create the beloved community will forever live on. It’s up to us to continue bending the moral arc of the universe towards justice.
I just read over the new details of the Washington Republican budget plan that were released today and I’m alarmed. They want to cut vital services that working people rely on and add almost $6 trillion to the debt. I’m ready to fight this using every tool I have.
