Instead of coming to the table to negotiate, Republicans let government funding run out, and shut down our federal government last night.
To learn what that means for you, visit my website: wassermanschultz.house.gov/legislation/...
Instead of keeping the lights on, House Republicans didn’t show up to work.
They need to come to the table to negotiate a spending deal that protects Americans’ healthcare.
At midnight tonight, government funding runs out.
I'm live with @frost.house.gov and @repdarrensoto.bsky.social to highlight Republican efforts to rip away healthcare from millions of Floridians in their partisan spending plan.

Healthcare is increasingly out of reach for far too many.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social understand this, so we're fighting to keep government open while lowering health care costs.
Watch us hear from Americans who feel the pain of Republicans' healthcare crisis: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dm-...

Hey House Republicans, cancel your vacation. Cancel the cuts. Lower costs. Save health care.
I just came out of the House Chamber to demand a vote on @housedemocrats.bsky.social's proposal to fund the government and protect Americans' healthcare.
With hours left until a shutdown, Republicans decided to not show up for work and close the chamber down.
Democrats are in Washington, ready to work to avoid a shutdown and protect Americans' health care.
But Republicans refuse to negotiate, and went on vacation instead.
Republicans have steered us into a healthcare crisis.
There's less than a 24 hours until the government shuts down because they refuse to protect Americans' healthcare from massive price hikes.
I'm hosting a virtual town hall TONIGHT at 7:30PM to share what I'm doing to prevent the GOP healthcare crisis from getting worse and give you the latest on a possible government shutdown.
Tune in: www.youtube.com/watch?v=37Ts...
Iran has blatantly violated restrictions on its nuclear program, posing a direct threat to the U.S. & our allies.
I'm glad our European partners reimposed sanctions. We must keep pressure on the Iranian regime until their weapons-grade enrichment ends.

Trump wants to ignore the law so he can deport people who are here legally. We're pushing back.
@vanhollen.senate.gov & I just led 130+ House & Senate Democrats in an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to defend lawful TPS holders & reject Trump's betrayal of Venezuelan families.
Bringing home funding for medical research is critical, but it doesn't matter how much research we do if healthcare is unaffordable.
Republicans need to negotiate a spending plan that stops their healthcare crisis from getting even worse.
TOMORROW I'll host a virtual town hall to share what I'm doing to prevent the GOP healthcare crisis from getting worse and give you the latest on a possible government shutdown.

This is a targeted attack. Latinos in Action is a fantastic leadership and mentoring program open to all students at Broward Schools.
Trump’s threat to withhold school funding simply because a program uplifts Latino culture and community is unlawful and discriminatory.
Republicans control the House of Representatives, Senate, and White House and are steering us toward a government shutdown.
If you're worried about the potential Republican shutdown and need guidance on what to expect, visit my website:

Republicans need to come to the table and negotiate a spending deal that puts a stop to their worsening healthcare crisis.
If they let healthcare tax credits expire, more than 200,000 people in my district alone will see healthcare costs skyrocket.
This Monday evening I'll host a virtual town hall to share what I'm doing to prevent the GOP healthcare crisis from getting worse and give you the latest on a possible government shutdown.

Reminder that Republicans control the House, Senate, and White House. The government shutdown we're headed toward is in their hands.
Democrats remain ready to negotiate a bipartisan deal that protects Americans' healthcare.
