Republicans already caved to Trump's tariff taxes that raise prices on families.
Tonight, they refused to even find out what Trump's erratic tariff policies will do to drive up military construction costs.
What are they so afraid of?

The Republican MilCon/VA funding bill PROHIBITS the VA from following the law to keep guns out of the hands of those deemed a danger to themselves or others.
Thousands of veterans die from suicide every year, and this bill makes them less safe.
This indictment is a clear attempt to intimidate Congress and criminalize dissent.
It will not succeed. My colleagues and I will continue to conduct lawful oversight and speak out.
I fully support @replamonica.bsky.social as she fights off this blatantly political prosecution.
The Republican MilCon/VA funding bill fails to hold VA Secretary Collins accountable for mass firings of veterans and attempting to transfer hundreds of millions in funds without congressional approval.
Republicans may cave to Trump and give up Congress's power of the purse. Democrats never will.
I hear stories from veterans across the country about how the Trump Administration has turned their lives upside down over night.
The Republican MilCon/VA funding bill does nothing to stop it. We should never treat our veterans like that.
As @democrats-appropriations.house.gov MilCon/VA Ranking Member, I hear from veterans across the country about how DOGE and the Administration's actions hurt them.
The Republican MilCon/VA funding bill does nothing to help.

This year's Military Construction & Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill is a step toward enacting the Project 2025 goal of privatizing the VA. This bill betrays our veterans, including women and LGBTQI+ veterans who would be denied access to medically necessary healthcare. youtu.be/UL57bmYhFxk
The Republican MilCon/VA funding bill hurdles us toward VA privatization – straight from the Project 2025 agenda.
Veterans want VA health care because they know the VA cares about them, unlike this Administration.
The Republican MilCon/VA bill fails our veterans. It scams them out of quality medical care and lines corporate hospitals' coffers.
As Ranking Member of the @democrats-appropriations.house.gov MilCon/VA subcommittee, I'm leading the charge to fight back.

Que Trump retire el parole, el TPS, la reunificación familiar y ahora las visas es la última TRAICIÓN a las familias cubanas y venezolanas que ya han pasado por suficientes dificultades.
Lucharé para revertir esta injusticia.

PBS South Florida educates millions of our kids, provides fact-based programming, warns families about hurricanes, and so much more.
Congress will vote on eliminating their funding this week. But I'll oppose it. We should expand access to quality programs - not limit it.
Honored to nominate some of South Florida's most talented young people for appointments to America's military academies.
Thank you for your dedication. You'll make us all proud!
Trump's Big Ugly Bill would steal health care from 16 million people, making it impossible to afford the doctor's visits that so many desperately need.
Dr. Sabrina Taylor is a fellow cancer survivor who knows how hard it is to juggle health treatments and a normal life.

THIS MORNING:
DWC members @repdean.bsky.social, @repbarragan.bsky.social, @robinkelly.house.gov, & @wassermanschultz.house.gov hosted a discussion on the cost of living crisis—including the impacts of President Trump’s tariffs & Republican threats to cut healthcare & food assistance.
WATCH HERE:
Prices keep rising, but Trump and Republicans only make it worse with tariffs taxes and cuts to nutrition assistance and health care.

I recently conducted oversight at Krome Detention Center in South Florida.
It’s wall-to-wall people there, detained in unsanitary conditions. It's inhumane, and needs to end.

At a time when checkout prices keep rising, the Republican Agriculture funding bill rolls back key investments we need to keep life affordable.
Republicans are moving us backward, not forward.
Me uno a todos los colombianos para condenar el intento de asesinato de Miguel Uribe Turbay y expresar la esperanza de su recuperación.
I join all Colombians in condemning the attempted assassination of Miguel Uribe Turbay and expressing hope for his recovery.
Trump sells pardons, accepts bribes, and refuses to divest from businesses.
His corruption knows no bounds.
