At a time when the boundaries between verified intelligence and politically convenient claims have too often been blurred, it is critical that the office remain grounded in facts, independence, and the rule of law.
The Director of National Intelligence is entrusted with one of the most serious responsibilities in government: providing objective, fact-based intelligence to policymakers and the American people, regardless of politics or pressure from the White House.
First and foremost, my thoughts are with Tulsi Gabbard and her family as her husband battles cancer. Anyone who has watched a loved one go through a serious illness understands the toll it takes, and I wish him strength and hope for a full recovery in the difficult days ahead.
Government should work to make things more affordable for Americans – that’s why I’m fighting every week to lower housing, child care, and energy costs. Trump views this government as his personal piggy bank, shaking it down for ballrooms, slush funds, and insider trades.

A year ago, we lost a towering fighter for Virginians – Rep. Gerry Connolly. This week, we honored his legacy with action – passing legislation that would help prevent esophageal cancer by studying early screening & treatment.
Gas is still above $4.50. Housing and child care prices are just getting worse. And Trump & Republicans’ top priorities this week are a golden ballroom and a slush fund for Jan. 6 rioters.
I first met Barney Frank when I was in law school and he was a state legislator, but I really got to know him when we worked closely together on Dodd-Frank. He was a “wicked smaht,” courageous leader and he’ll be very missed.
Trump is stealing $1.8 billion taxpayer dollars to give away to friends and allies…. On top of the billions he’s squandered on new wars. This money could go to lowering your health care, child care, or energy costs… instead it’s being given to Trump’s friends.
NEW: I’m raising the alarm about Trump’s disastrous “Trump Mobile” phone company breaking promises to consumers and running misleading ads. We can’t let Trump get away with endless grifts that raise costs for Americans – I’m pressing for answers.
