I take the responsibility to advise and consent on President Trump’s nominees seriously. I’m not voting against anyone just because they wouldn’t have been my top pick – but I’m also not voting to confirm anyone that’s dangerously unqualified.

President Biden is leaving behind an economy that consistently creates good-paying jobs because of smart investments Democrats passed.
No matter what the next admin has in store, I’m focused on expanding investments that make it easier to get a world-class job in your hometown.
New studies are suggesting the number of Americans living with dementia will double by 2060.
For every family touched by these heartbreaking illnesses, we must research new ways to treat and cure Alzheimer’s and related conditions. I’m laser-focused on this work in the Senate.
Proud of Virginia’s incredible naval capabilities, which keep Americans safe at home and abroad as part of the most capable military in the world.

Stay warm this week, Virginia. I’m trying my best.
My statement on the ceasefire agreement in the Middle East.
Northern Virginia residents: WMATA has put together a yearly wrapped of your trips on Metro. Check it out at www.metrorewind.com – it really shows what an invaluable resource Metro is for our communities!
I’m concerned that Americans are flocking to a number of adversary-owned social media platforms. We still need a comprehensive and risk-based approach to assessing and mitigating the risks of foreign-owned apps.
For years, I’ve championed the growing biotech hub in the Richmond-Petersburg region. I’m thrilled to see $3.9 million go to expanding workforce training programs in Disputanta, getting Virginians ready for good, cutting-edge jobs. www.warner.senate.gov/public/index...
No one should be forced to return to a country torn apart by violence.
I’m glad the Biden admin has taken steps to protect some immigrants with temporary protected status, but he must extend protections for additional countries before the next admin. www.warner.senate.gov/public/index...
Virginia is the only state in the South without a post-Roe abortion ban.
I trust women and their doctors to make their own decisions. We must protect and expand the right to choose at the federal level.
We can lower costs and create jobs if we invest in an all-of-the-above energy future.
I’m proud that Democrats have passed laws like the Inflation Reduction Act that make it easier to produce abundant, clean energy domestically.
We keep cashing in for Southwest Virginia! I’m thrilled to see almost $20 million in Inflation Reduction Act funding go to building and improving housing across the region.
Good news! Virginia is getting $10.8 million to build almost 400 EV charging stations across the Commonwealth! Thrilled to see my bipartisan infrastructure law create Virginia jobs expanding the green energy economy. www.warner.senate.gov/public/index...
You might remember that in November, I tried to pass a bipartisan bill to refill SBA funding & get small businesses the disaster loans they needed. I’m happy to report this was included in the final aid package, and VA small businesses have already received over $1.4 million.
I’m still frustrated that we’re months out from our spending deadlines but still wasting taxpayer money on CRs. The Senate made progress on bipartisan spending bills with millions for community-based projects, but towns across Virginia are still waiting for that funding.
If President Trump is interested in adding U.S. states, there’s an option that will soon be in his own backyard… that has repeatedly expressed their desire for statehood… with American citizens already paying federal taxes…
Today, I joined my colleagues in introducing a DC statehood bill. DC residents serve in our military, contribute to our economy, and pay more in federal taxes per capita than any other state, but without any voting federal representation. Let’s make DC the 51st state.
As SCOTUS prepares to hear arguments in the TikTok case, I think it’s worth mentioning again this is not a ban – it’s just changing ownership. There’s no reason one of our most powerful adversaries should have access millions of Americans’ data.
