When you see Donald Trump's government, a government that works great for those with money and connections and doesn’t work for anyone else, that’s corruption—plain and simple.
There's a danger within our military that not enough people are talking about: Flight crashes are killing our troops at record rates. I'm pushing for answers to get to the bottom of this.
This holiday season, families face a trifecta of economic pressures: Record-high grocery bills. The weakest seasonal job market in over a decade. Rising electricity costs. Working people are struggling in Trump's economy, but he's too busy building himself a ballroom to notice.
Want to know how bad Donald Trump is losing his trade war with China? Last month, he said China will buy 12 million tons of US soybeans by January. China hasn’t even bought 1/10th of that amount yet. Trump is getting played by China while American farmers pay the price.
CNBC: My understanding is the White House said that China was gonna buy 12 million tons of soybeans from the US by January. That's approaching and they've only purchased 332,000. China has not confirmed that pledge. BROOKE ROLLINS: Your point is salient. We've got a significant way to go
After I called out the big banks for adding ANOTHER $20 billion to Trump’s Argentina bailout, their plan is on ice. But they are still exploring a $5 billion loan – potentially guaranteed by U.S. taxpayers. No bailout for Argentina’s rich hedge fund investors.
Instead of weakening the Kremlin's negotiating position, Trump has weakened our sanctions for 10 months and counting by letting evasion go unchecked. Congress must review any proposed unwinding of sanctions instead of letting Trump cede leverage without achieving a just peace.
Ranking Member Warren released the following statement on additional action Congress should take to support Ukraine:
“Donald Trump’s 10-month failure to apply sustained pressure on the Kremlin has made it far more difficult to achieve a just peace for Ukraine. Instead of weakening the Kremlin’s negotiating position, Trump weakened our sanctions regime through inaction and delay while allowing China to profit from evasion and Russia to rebuild its war machine. Now he’s trying to force Ukraine to surrender and reward Russia by reintegrating it into the global economy. Congress must require a review of any proposed unwinding of U.S. sanctions imposed in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion, instead of letting Trump cede the rest of our critical leverage. Congress passed a bipartisan framework for this kind of review during the first Trump Administration, and it has a responsibility to do so again.”
President Trump says he wants to build more housing to bring down prices. The Senate passed the bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act to do just that. The House should join us and get this done.
Donald Trump promised to lower costs ON DAY ONE. But here we are: The cost of groceries is up. The cost of health care is up. Your electric bill is higher. And it’s getting worse.
Our health care system is badly broken, but Republicans’ “concepts of a plan” to crush the Affordable Care Act for the umpteenth time just is not going to work.
“Lucky”? Health care is being ripped away, grocery prices are up, and power bills are surging. The reality is families are feeling squeezed. Trump won’t even admit there’s a problem. Americans deserve the truth — and real plans to lower costs.
If Donald Trump was really "America first," he'd stop billionaire corporations from cheating the U.S. government out of taxes. Instead, he's adding tax loopholes to let them off the hook and raising costs for everyone else.
