Americans told us they need lower health care costs. So Republicans ripped away their health care, jacked up costs, and handed over giant tax cuts to billionaires. It's shameful. But I’m not going to stop fighting.
Private equity drove a nursing home chain into the ground. Then it declared bankruptcy, which could let it off the hook for hurting patients. Now, it's trying to sell the company to the same people who bankrupted it. @blumenthal.senate.gov @goodlander.house.gov and I are sounding the alarm.
The Trump Administration is saying its $20 billion bailout for Argentina is classified. Give me a break. Trump just wants to hide the receipts. Americans deserve to know where their money went.
This is absurd and plainly illegal. The courts should reject this fringe theory. But the real news here is Trump will do anything to try to kill an agency that has returned more than $21 billion to scammed Americans, but he'll do nothing to lower costs for American families.
I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable. We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina. A vote for this bill is a mistake.
So Donald Trump’s big donors and giant corporations get massive tax breaks, but Americans waiting for SNAP payments are told to eat dirt? Did I get that right?
People want more affordable health insurance, not a savings account. This is just a Republican bait-and-switch to repeal Obamacare for the 70th time. Let’s get serious — extend the health care tax credits and open the government.

The Trump Administration continues to resist its responsibility to feed our residents. Every day they delay, families are at risk of going hungry. We're urging the court to hold them accountable and deliver full benefits to the millions of Americans who rely on SNAP.

We should have updated jobs numbers today. But Trump’s government shutdown is leaving us in the dark about our economy. And he won’t release the already prepared jobs numbers from September. Trump needs to release this critical data NOW.
