I'm leading my colleagues to demand the Trump Administration immediately restore sanctions on Russian oil. Pausing these sanctions didn't lower gas prices—which are up over 50% in Colorado because of President Trump's reckless war in Iran. It only bankrolled Putin's war in Ukraine.
President Trump’s cruel immigration policies are tearing families apart. We’ve seen ICE detain young children and use them to pressure parents into cooperating.
In Aurora yesterday: the community broke ground on the next phase of the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit line, made possible by a $150 million investment from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.
On May Day, we recognize the enduring role that labor unions and workers have played in building a strong middle class in America. Through solidarity and collective action, they fought for and won fair wages, better benefits, and safer workplaces.
Today is 60 days since President Trump launched his reckless war in Iran. Under the War Powers Resolution, the President must withdraw U.S. forces after 60 days without congressional authorization — which we have not granted.
Without this program, rural hospitals in Delta, Montrose, Glenwood Springs, and San Luis Valley could lose a vital source of funding and may be forced to cut critical services or close their doors entirely — requiring rural Coloradans to drive hours to access the care they rely on.
Today, we introduced the Public Lands Integrity Act to stop federal public lands from being sold off to fund Republican’s spending sprees. This bill ensures that public land sales cannot be fast-tracked through budget legislation, keeping our public lands in public hands.
Glad to see the federal appeals court blocked the Trump Administration's mass-detention agenda — sending a clear message that due process must be upheld. No one, regardless of immigration status, should be imprisoned without basic constitutional protections. www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/app...
Trump’s Supreme Court continues to chip away at the Voting Rights Act, opening the door to voter suppression nationwide.  Congress must act now by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act.
Today, we’re introducing a bill to make sure we can override the President’s political games, making sure our cities and counties get support when they need it most.
When Colorado faced historic flooding and wildfires, President Trump denied disaster relief to our communities. Disasters don’t care about state lines or politics — and neither should our President’s emergency response.
