As Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Homelessness, I introduced legislation to recognize November as National Homeless Children and Youth Awareness Month because every kid deserves to have a stable home where they can live, learn and thrive.
Meals on Wheels brings nutritious meals and connection to older adults in Oregon and across the country. In Congress I lead the Older Americans Act (OAA), which supports Meals on Wheels, and I’ll continue to work to strengthen and protect programs that help people age with dignity.

Thank you to Dr. Ernesto Fonseca, the Hacienda CDC team, and Councilor Juan Carlos González for your work to build affordable housing and provide essential support services to the community.

With near unanimous support, the House and Senate passed a bill to require the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files. It was a tremendous step in a long march toward justice.
For months President Trump and Congressional Republicans tried to keep the Epstein files a secret. I have long advocated for release of the files, and today I voted to make that happen.
Before the vote I met with several courageous survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s horrendous crimes. They - and all of the survivors - deserve justice. Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplices were pedophiles, sexual predators, and human traffickers.
