As Jewish people around the world gather to observe Hanukkah, a time rooted in faith, resilience, and perseverance, my heart is with those mourning the horrific antisemitic attack in Sydney, Australia. No one should fear for their safety while practicing their faith.

We cannot continue to stand idly by as mass shootings become normalized in America. We must come together and take action to end gun violence and protect our communities.
This tragedy is yet another devastating reminder of our nation’s ongoing failure to protect our children in the places where they should feel safest.
These students were attacked while studying for finals and preparing to return home for the holidays, moments that should have been filled with excitement and hope, not fear.
My heart is with the families and loved ones of the students killed and injured in the horrific shooting at Brown University.
I join my colleagues in calling for Secretary Noem’s resignation. She is unfit for office and continues to pose a dangerous threat to peaceful, law-abiding communities across America.
Her reckless and unlawful actions do not make our country safer. They undermine our democracy, erode fundamental rights, and betray the very people who have sacrificed so much in defense of this nation.
This is not leadership. It is blatant incompetence and a clear lack of qualification.
Secretary Noem has lied to Congress about these abuses and shown a brazen disregard for the rule of law. When confronted with these egregious violations, she walked out of a hearing for a meeting that had already been canceled.
Under her watch, immigration officials have openly defied due process, detained more than 170 U.S. citizens, and deported veterans who have served our nation.
Secretary Noem’s aggressive and unconstitutional immigration enforcement agenda has harmed U.S. citizens, veterans, and military families across the country.

While House Republicans have made no effort to use their constitutional oversight responsibilities to hold this corrupt administration accountable, House Democrats are fighting to defend the integrity of our democratic institutions and to stop Donald Trump’s radical agenda.
I voted to impeach Donald Trump twice, and I strongly believe that he needs to be impeached again and removed from office. That is why I voted no on yesterday's motion to table the impeachment resolution.
I am resolute in my conviction that Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to our democracy and must be held accountable for his unlawful actions and egregious executive overreach.
From inciting a violent insurrection in his first administration to eroding the very pillars of our democracy in his second, Donald Trump continues to desecrate the oath he swore to uphold and protect.
House Democrats are fighting to lower costs and protect Americans’ access to health care because we believe everyone deserves affordable, high-quality care and a fair shot at the American Dream.
www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress pledged to lower costs on day one. Instead, they are calling affordability a “hoax” while Americans lose access to the healthcare coverage they rely on. That is not leadership It is a complete abdication of their responsibility to the American people.
It is outrageous that the same party responsible for the largest transfer of wealth in American history, through trillions in tax breaks for billionaire donors, will not do one thing to prevent 20 million Americans from seeing their health care premiums skyrocket.
House and Senate Republicans continue to choose inaction and chaos, and they have offered no plan to help Americans with the affordability of health care or to address the health care crisis they created.
