In today's Democratic Daily Download, Rep John Larson calls out Trump-Musk's attacks on Social Security. They're coming after your earned benefits.
Today, we'll hear directly from Americans who are impacted by these cuts. We're fighting for families and seniors, not billionaires!
Thank you, Senator Booker, for fighting for our democracy, for our country, and for the people. Keep up the good fight – and keep getting in good trouble. We stand with you.
This is what commitment to the American people looks like, and this is what service to our country looks like.
In a true American moment in history, @booker.senate.gov has been holding the Senate floor for more than 15 hours – standing up against the reckless and harmful actions of the Trump Administration and its dangerous agenda.

69 million women losing access to voting because they changed their last name after marriage.
That’s what the Republican SAVE Act would do.
We sent a letter demanding that the Speaker remove the bill from consideration ahead of the expected vote next week:
Eid Mubarak to our Muslim friends and neighbors across #Ventura County, the Conejo Valley, and around the world! As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I wish all who celebrate a festive and joyous Eid al-Fitr. May the upcoming year bring you and your loved ones many blessings.
Today, and every day, we stand in deep gratitude for their service, ensuring that their sacrifice is never forgotten.
We remember the more than 58,000 heroes who gave their lives in service to our country, including 106 brave servicemembers from Ventura County.
On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who served in uniform during one of our nation’s most difficult chapters.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @adamsmith.house.gov, Ranking Member of the @democrats-armedservices.house.gov Committee, raises the alarm about threat the Trump Administration poses to U.S. national security.
This isn’t just a budget cut – it’s a direct attack on public health that will put lives at risk.
But that’s not all. Now, they want to gut 20,000 jobs at the Department of Health & Human Services—not political appointees, but doctors, scientists, and experts who:
✅ Protect our food
✅ Monitor deadly diseases
✅ Approve life-saving medications
✅ Oversee health insurance for nearly half the country
The Trump Administration recklessly slashed over $12 billion from public health programs that track infectious diseases, expand mental health care, and provide addiction treatment.
Hegseth’s arrogance and blatant disregard for basic security is astounding. Hegseth must resign immediately.
And instead of owning up to their incompetence, Trump senior officials continue to downplay the risks, dismissing the dangers, and making excuses to cover for their own failures. It is only by the grace of God that no American lives were lost due to this incompetence.
This wasn’t just reckless – it was an egregious security failure that put our nation security and American servicemembers in grave danger.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed, “nobody was texting war plans.” Yet, 31 minutes before U.S. military jets launched to strike Houthi targets, Hegseth was sending classified launch times in an unsecured, commercial messaging app.
