As Black History Month comes to a close, we honor the resilience, legacy, and history of Black Americans. Our nation is stronger because of the leadership, extraordinary achievements, and cultural contributions of Black communities across generations that have shaped every chapter of our story.

I will continue to stand up to this administration’s abuses and fight to make the American Dream real and attainable for the people I was elected to serve.

I refuse to be complicit, and I will not legitimize a man who shows so little respect for the pillars and values upon which our nation was founded.
We are living with the consequences of a self-serving agenda enabled by Republicans in Congress who have chosen loyalty to one man over their oath to the Constitution.
Instead of addressing the true state of our union, he deflected from the chaos and cruelty of his administration and distorted reality to mask his failure to deliver for the American people.
In what is now the longest State of the Union address on record, Donald Trump delivered divisive rhetoric, empty platitudes, and blatant falsehoods.
The American people deserve the full truth. We demand transparency. And we will not stop until there is real accountability and justice for every survivor.
No speech can erase what happened. No political theater can bury the truth. With the eyes of the country watching, President Trump will not be able to turn away from the injustices his administration has tried to conceal.
I am proud to stand with these courageous women and with my Democratic Women’s Caucus colleagues in support of full transparency and accountability.
As Donald Trump addresses the nation tonight, survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse will be in the room. Their presence is a powerful reminder that the truth cannot be silenced.
Instead, I am giving space in the House Chamber to Lara Blume McGee, an Epstein survivor and courageous advocate for truth and justice.
Her presence is a powerful reminder that we must always stand up for what is right.
I will not be attending tonight’s State of the Union.
I respect the institution of Congress. But I will not legitimize the lies, cruelty, and abuse of power that define this administration.
It is time to dismantle Donald Trump’s ICE, restore the rule of law, and do the real work of building a humane immigration system that reflects our nation’s values.
After visiting the ICE field office in Camarillo, I am more resolved than ever to hold this administration accountable. I will continue fighting to advance Democrats’ Articles of Impeachment and oppose any DHS funding that is not paired with immediate, enforceable guardrails on ICE.
Kristi Noem has shirked accountability, obstructed transparency, and undermined due process for far too long.
I will always fight to protect the fundamental right to vote. Our democracy only works when every eligible citizen can participate freely and fairly, without intimidation and without unnecessary barriers. The American people deserve leaders who strengthen our democracy, not weaken it.
Efforts to use unconstitutional tactics to suppress votes and undermine the integrity of our elections in order to win are a direct attack on our democracy.
They are working to delegitimize our elections and make it harder for Americans to hold them accountable.
As their agenda grows more unpopular and families continue to feel the strain of rising costs driven by Donald Trump’s reckless economic policies, Republicans are trying to change the rules instead of changing course.
This legislation would strip millions of citizens of a clear path to register and deliberately place new barriers in front of women, rural voters, voters of color, and other communities who already face obstacles at the ballot box.
