Another frightening move by the Trump Administration.   This is wrong, it’s punitive and excessive, and it tells you everything about Trump’s ICE agents think about Haitians who came here legally. We will fight this. www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2...
For decades, the EEOC has been critical to stopping workplace discrimination against Black & brown people.   Now, Trump wants to undermine the tools that help expose discriminatory workplace environments.   This is so wrong. Standing with the CBC in calling this out. thehill.com/opinion/civi...
Happy Birthday to Medicare & Medicaid! Today people from across NE Ohio visited my office with a clear message: health care is a human right. I could not agree more. I am proud to cosponsor Medicare for All and will keep fighting to cancel the GOP cuts to Medicaid and the ACA.
Enjoyed meeting with Site Ready Cleveland to tour Cleveland's Midline District project and learn more about their partnership with the City of Cleveland to revitalize the East Side and create new jobs, investment and opportunity - so that we can go from vacant to vibrant.
This Fibroids Awareness Month, @alsobrooks.senate.gov and I are calling for legislative action. Uterine fibroids affect 70% of women, and the symptoms can be serious, yet funding for research and treatment is lacking. Our U-FIGHT Act creates a grant program to combat fibroids.
I caught up with Rep. Crockett to talk about the 5 dumbest ways Trump has wasted your taxpayer dollars… and we easily came up with 10. Trump is doing nothing to help people, but burning money on vanity and insanity.
While people struggle with higher prices, Trump keeps spending taxpayer dollars on massive banners of himself. Everything the MAGA GOP and DOGE said about fiscal responsibility and cutting waste was a complete lie.   newrepublic.com/post/212990/...
Proud to join County Exec Ronayne & local partners at Circle District East in East Cleveland to celebrate the completion of new homes. County & federal funds (including $2.35 M from my office) supported this key project – needed investment in an area often overlooked. @cuyahogacounty.bsky.social
Members of Congress have a right to organize for the communities they serve. Singling out the Congressional Black Caucus & similar caucuses—who represent nearly half of the U.S.—is a blatant attempt to silence minority voices. We must protect representation for everyone. thegrio.com/2026/07/24/n...
New homes and new infrastructure have been built in East Cleveland. I was proud to secure federal funding for Cuyahoga Land Bank’s Circle East District, a collaborative effort featuring local governments, non-profits, and the private sector – and now we are seeing the results.
I was proud to join the ribbon-cutting for the Circle East District – supporting new homes, infrastructure, parks, and repairs in East Cleveland, led by the Cuyahoga Land Bank. My office secured $2.35 million for this project and it’s incredible to see it come to fruition.
We’ve known lead is toxic for decades, but too many Ohio families still have lead paint on their walls and lead in their water. It’s time for the federal government to act. I’ve introduced the GET THE LEAD OUT Act and the REPLACE Act to fund lead removal and make homes safe.
For decades, we've known that lead is toxic. But too many families are still living with lead exposure that puts their health at risk. That’s why I’ve introduced two bills to ramp up our federal response and get funds flowing to local removal programs. www.cleveland.com/news/2026/07...
