Congrats to the 25-26 OH-11 Youth Advisory Council!
This weekend, we celebrated these students as they delivered their capstone presentations on key issues that matter to them. It’s inspiring to see the next generation step forward, find their voice, and prepare to lead.
I was honored to attend the commissioning of the USS Cleveland. The ship’s motto is “Forge a Legacy” – a tribute to our industrial strength.
At the ceremony, I spoke about what “Cleveland” means to us - the pride we have in our city, our spirit, and our values.
Trump is breaking the economy and Black Americans are paying the price.
The Black unemployment rate rose again last month – now up to 7.3%.
Make no mistake: this has been intentional.

This weekend Cleveland will celebrate the commissioning of the USS Cleveland - and importantly, so much of this ship was made right here in Northeast Ohio.

Update from DC- I'm voting again to end Trump's war with Iran.
Americans don't want a ballroom, they don't want an expensive arch, they don't want a war. They want lower costs. They DO NOT want to foot the bill for Trump's vanity projects.
Have you no shame, Mr. President?
Food prices are soaring because of Trump's nonsense.
A greedy and confused President is making life worse for everyday people.

Today, with Rep. Joe Morelle and all Democratic members of the Ohio House delegation, I demanded answers from Secretary of State Frank LaRose over his decision to hand over sensitive Ohio voter information to the Trump Admin.

Grow a spine. You don't need any context from a statement like that. He said what he said. He doesn't care that working Americans are struggling to stay afloat in this economy.
My office is hosting a webinar for first-time homebuyers on Wed May 20 at 6 PM.

State after state after state… Thanks to the Supreme Court, there is a race to redraw the South, to engineer electorates that give Trump all the majority-white districts he needs.
The tragedy is that this proves why we needed the Vioting Rights Act in the first place.
I’m fighting to lower gas prices and that includes making E-15 fuel available year-round. This is a win for drivers, farmers, and families.
Today I joined @budzinski.house.gov and Jed Bower, Ohio farmer, and President of the National Corn Growers to call on Congress to get this done.
Recently, I visited the Port of Cleveland with @rokhanna.bsky.social and spoke with officials, business owners, and labor leaders about boosting shipbuilding, creating jobs, and taking on China.
The Port is an economic engine for NE Ohio and we need it to be all gas no brakes.
It's simple, Americans can't afford this president's agenda.
But instead of working to address the rising cost of living, this president would rather use your tax dollars to bankroll his billion-dollar ballroom & give ICE another $70 billion.

We have got to lower gas prices. Making E-15 available year-round is a button we can push today. It’s good for drivers, good for farmers, and good for the country.
Absolutely shameful from Rep. Kiggans. They aren't even trying to hide it anymore.
Trump’s MAGA movement is fueled by racism, fixated on denigrating Black leaders, and focused on attacking Black voting rights.
We see it and we won’t back down.

Happy Jewish American Heritage Month!
This month, we celebrate the rich heritage of Jewish Americans and the many ways they have shaped our country, and recommit ourselves to fighting antisemitism with urgency.
First, there was Trump's wasteful ballroom. Now this.
This president loves a shady backroom deal, and he loves it even more when working Americans are footing the bill.

Last week, I proudly announced my office secured $1.1 million for the Cleveland Metroparks CHEERS project to create an incredible lakefront park with trails, water access and a protected cove.
I will keep working to deliver resources so we can do big things in Cleveland.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
