Just like with everything else, the Trump administration is grifting off the American people through their war in Iran.   Democrats in Congress will continue to demand answers and get these people on the record.
It was great to join @therickwilson.bsky.social and @lincolnproject.us to talk about the Epstein Files and the continued push for justice and accountability for survivors. EVERYONE covering these files up needs to answer for it. @democrats-judiciary.house.gov are going to make sure that happens.
I was devastated to learn of this tragedy in Louisiana - eight young lives cruelly cut short before reaching their potential. My heart breaks for their families and loved ones. We can’t accept this horrific cycle of gun violence as normal, and we need to finally take action to stop it.
Trump is being way too cavalier about the war he started in Iran. He missed negotiations for a UFC fight, ignored the advice of experts, and has put our service members in harms way. We need to call it all out and hold this admin accountable for this mess.
It was a loooong night - but ultimately we were able to show some real strength by preventing a clean FISA reauthorization that fails to protect Americans’ privacy. They were only able to get a very short extension that runs until the end of April. We still have a chance to get this right.
With the money Trump wants for his war of choice in Iran, we could fund the ACA tax credits FOR TEN YEARS. Vermonters and folks across the nation are suffering from this admin’s backwards priorities.
Russ Vought has unlawfully and vindictively cut federal funds from states that didn’t vote for Trump in the last presidential election. I’m not angry because he’s taking Congress’s power away - it’s because he’s taking power away from the American people.
Last year, Trump and Republicans passed their Big Ugly Budget and said you’d get big tax refunds. Well, it’s Tax Day and folks are getting 65% less than what they were told. Yet another broken promise.
A graphic with a partially filled in $100 bill that says:

ANOTHER TRUMP BROKEN PROMISE

This tax season, workers and families are getting 65% less than what Trump and Republicans promised them.
One year ago, ICE illegally detained Mohsen Mahdawi, a legal permanent resident in Vermont, for exercising his 1st Amendment rights. Now, the Trump administration has FIRED the immigration judge who ruled there was no basis to deport him. It’s clear retaliation. (1/2)

With antisemitism on the rise, and authoritarianism rearing its ugly head at home and abroad, it’s never been more important to tell these stories and learn from history – so we’re not doomed to repeat it. May all their memories be blessings. (2/2)
This evening, I’m joining Jews across the world in observing Yom HaShoah. As a community, we mourn the 6 million murdered in the Holocaust. Not only were they all human beings with hopes, fears, dreams, & desires, but each of them had a story. My grandfather, Leopold Balint, was one of them. (1/2)

I’m glad to see the resignations of both Representatives Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales. Their actions were unacceptable for anyone, let alone members of Congress. It’s time for Cory Mills to do the same.
FYI Trump’s proposed budget would: -Deliver a major windfall for the Pentagon -Eliminate assistance for home heating and cooling -Further cut the IRS -Cut billions for housing -Gut worker protection agencies It’s a no from me.
