It’s been a big week for housing.
On Monday, I announced the my Community Housing Act to bring costs down. And yesterday, a bipartisan deal was struck on a major housing package.
There’s agreement - whatever your politics and wherever you live - that this is a crisis that demands action.
Let’s be clear: Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress kicked MILLIONS of Americans off health care through their refusal to bring premiums down.
They quite literally took the money they could have used for this and instead cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy. Disgusting.
The targeting of the trans community has been one of the most disgusting aspects of this administration.
I’ll never turn my back on our trans neighbors, whether they’re in Vermont or anywhere else in the country. They deserve the same rights and respect as anyone else.

Yet again, Trump lied about the funding details for one of his big vanity projects - and you’re footing the bill.

Starting next season, the only authorized way for restaurants and bars to watch out-of-market games will be through EverPass Media, a joint venture between the NFL and a private equity firm.
We can already see more cost increases on the horizon.
Unfortunately, it turns out we were right. The Trump admin, led by people like Stephen Miller, WAS considering invoking the Insurrection Act against American citizens.
This shows that we all need to stay loud and keep calling this stuff out. They’re doing exactly what we think they’re doing.
Today, alongside critical community partners, I announced the reintroduction of the Community Housing Act. This is one of the most significant pieces of legislation I lead in Congress.
This bill is full of concrete actions we can take to address the housing crisis. And we have no time to waste.
