As a mom of a D1 football player, I know how long overdue it was to allow our student athletes to earn their fair share.
That's why I'm introducing the College SPORTS Act, to strengthen name, image, and likeness protections for athletes and expand their academic opportunities.

Everywhere I go in CD5, I hear the same thing: people want the government to work for them.
That means getting Social Security payments on time, knowing they can access healthcare, and being able to pay the bills.
These aren’t red or blue issues. They’re common sense.
In 2024, there were 502 mass shootings. 5,151 kids lost to gun violence. 16,576 people killed.
During #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth we remember that everyone who we have lost to senseless gun violence is somebody’s someone.
We have to put a stop to gun violence.
Our local City Councilors Steph Newton-Azorr and Carolyn McLeod have a simple message for the federal government: have our community’s backs, and keep them safe.
Have you marked your calendars? Tomorrow at 6PM PT I’ll be hosting my first telephone town hall! 📲
It has been amazing visiting you all on the Give ‘Em Hell Tour, and I want to reach everyone, across the district!

Trump's new travel ban is a fear mongering tactic that abandons our core values, tears families apart, and does nothing to improve safety.
This is just an attempt to distract from his work to strip millions of their healthcare and benefits.
Enough.

We've had three stops on our Give 'Em Hell Town Hall Tour, so I thought I'd check in and share the top three things I'm hearing from CD5.
Happy #WorldEnvironmentDay! 🌎
We are so lucky to call Oregon's coastline, scenic forests, and National Parks home.
Let today serve as a reminder of the role we all have to play in preserving these national treasures for generations to come.
Well this sure is One Big Beautiful Breakup 🍿

While I was in Albany, I had the chance to meet with some local leaders, including Mayor Alex Johnson and City Councilor Randy Klemm.
Our communities rely on federal funding for infrastructure projects that has been frozen – it must be restored.
Sharing some headlines that caught my attention...
President Trump's budget bill cuts programs millions of Americans rely on, AND raises our national debt by trillions of dollars.
Straight trash.
I had a chance to thank some of the pilots who make sure we get where we need to go safely today 🧑✈️✈️👩✈️
We also discussed some of the challenges they’re facing, including air traffic control staff shortages and the need to increase mental health support for pilots.
It’s been 152 days – House Republicans, where are the bills that lower costs?
On the Financial Services Committee, I am working alongside my colleagues to lower the cost of housing.
Today, I met with Oregon REALTORS to discuss how we can work together to make safe and accessible housing a reality for more Oregonians.
My constituent wrote in with concerns about federal employees losing their retirement benefits.
She doesn’t understand why the people who keep this country running are being left in the dust.
Mr. Speaker, care to explain?
Calling all residents of CD5! Next week, I’ll be holding my first telephone town hall.
If you’d like to attend, please RSVP with your name and phone number, and you will receive a phone call to join on June 10 at 6:00PM PT.

Another great stop on my Give ‘Em Hell tour last night in Albany!
Shoutout Sen. Gelser Blouin for emceeing, and as always, thank you, CD5, for joining me to use your voice and fight back.
The next one will be a call-in town hall – stay tuned for more info!
As we approach wildfire season, our communities still need support to rebuild from past fires.
This $83 million will be vital to helping our state restore the infrastructure Oregonians rely on for work, school and emergency services.
