Deschutes County, you brought the energy! Thank you for taking action and showing up – this is how we make change happen. Shoutout Sisters High School for hosting, and thank you Senator Broadman for emceeing!
FYI: Trump is out golfing today after giving us some voodoo Greek math equation while Americans are looking at their tanking retirement accounts wondering whose bird-brained idea massive tariffs were. Johnson should call us back to DC so Congress can overturn this foolishness.
Great to sit down with @olcv.bsky.social this week for a discussion on water management, mitigating wildfire risk, and our shared commitment to improving environmental health. We’ve all got to work together to protect the natural environment in #OR05 that we call home.
Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d to join me at Brews with Bynum this weekend 🍻☕️ I’m excited to meet you all. We have reached capacity for tomorrow, but don’t worry – we'll be doing many more! You can also come see me at my town hall tomorrow at Sisters High School at 1PM!
I'm excited to announce Brews with Bynum 🍻☕️ I’ll be visiting coffee shops & breweries around #OR05, and inviting you to come share a drink with me & tell me what’s on your mind – 1st stop in Bend this Saturday from 3:30 – 4:30! RSVP for location ⬇️ 🔗: www.eventbrite.com/e/1306937357...
🚨TOWN HALL UPDATE 🚨 Due to votes, Senator Merkley will unfortunately no longer be able to join us in Sisters this Saturday. The town hall is STILL ON – I'm excited to see and hear from you all. I hope you'll join me!
I’m excited to host my third, open-to-all town hall next weekend with Senator Jeff Merkley! The two of us will be at Sisters High School in Deschutes County at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 5 – come out and join us!
This week, my office was able to help Joseph, a constituent from Milwaukie, get an issue with his son's Social Security figured out. If you or someone you know in #OR05 needs assistance, give our office a call! 📞(503)387–8651
Just 24 hours after Trump announced his tariffs, the economy is tanking. Not only is he putting the retirement savings and college funds of Oregonians in jeopardy, but he's RAISING costs. Isn't he supposed to be the pro-economy president?
Stocks are tumbling in the wake of President Trump's tariff blitz. Dow industrials drop more than 1100 points.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act is SEVERELY underfunded. Like... a gap of billions of dollars. Unacceptable. I’m doing something about it. Today, I introduced the IDEA Full Funding Act to close that gap and start to deliver for our students with disabilities.
The Trump admin didn't just cut off funding for student programs, they did it 10 months earlier than they said they would. These programs were going to help our kids get back to the basics and back on track in areas like math and literacy – now what? This is unacceptable. tinyurl.com/yc6sms2x
Every day I hear from my constituents that their bills keep going up, and up, and up. Yet today, Trump is tacking on taxes that are making prices even higher??? No thanks. I introduced the Protecting Families From Inflation Act to bring prices down. Watch ⬇️ youtu.be/FF3mUYKrXz4
@booker.senate.gov just finished his historic speech challenging us to acknowledge this moral moment. He told us to remember that, “The power of the people is greater than the people in power.” He told us to continue to make GOOD TROUBLE.
Today, I introduced the Deschutes River Conservancy Reauthorization Act to allow the DRC access to federal funding so they can restore our rivers. Support for the DRC benefits our economy, our health, and our environment. I'm glad to team up with Senator Merkley to get it done.
Headed over to the Senate side this morning to cheer on @booker.senate.gov during his FIFTEENTH straight hour speaking on behalf of the American people. This energy 👏👏
Every week, my flight to DC is full of constituents coming to our office to ask us to protect their benefits, lower costs, and fight for funding to improve the lives of Oregonians. I hear you and I’ll always fight for you.
